Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Chickens v mouse... I'm rooting for the chickens every time!
That's a sure bet. Chickens win every time.

My chickens have learned to follow me when I start bringing in firewood. As I break down a wood pile I usually find a mouse or chipmunk nest. They let the larger chippys go but the mouses are up for grabs.

So eventually, and only through the grace of whatever deity was eyeballing them, they made it to the Island. They are incredibly fortunate that they did not join the many other foolish and unprepared - and unlucky - that have been lost to the icy Lake.
Candidates for the Darwin Award I suppose.
I'm glad that they are OK.

That front row of wood represents 3 tractor bucket loads of firewood brought in today.
Stay warm everyone.

I finally got all caught up on this thread! I'm not sure if I'll ever get caught up on the bakers or garden thread. Last I knew, there were 200 or so pages I haven't read... that will take a while to get through.

I've got two tabs up for each thread, one for catching up, and one for keeping up. We will see how long it takes!

That Jag-plow is pretty sweet!

Hubby sure likes it! He has a lot of "projects" for it, but he's said most of it has to wait until winter is over. It's too cold to work on it outside, and it won't fit in the garage. It's home will be the pole barn come spring.

He also wants to learn how to weld, which will help with some of the projects. The Falcon was his Christmas/birthday present. Welding equipment will be his anniversary present. He said that wasn't very fair to me. I told him I'm getting stuff welded and a cleared driveway. :) And 3-4 more chickens in the spring and a hubby with some valuable skills. :gig
