It depends on what you are going to do. If you have ducks and chickens, I like to house them separately. I bought an old heavy coop from Opa for the ducks and because we breed chickens, I like the smaller resin ones. I use dog kennel fencing for the runs for them during the day in between the times they get to free range. All of our runs are covered. Still need to get Brett to take pictures for you @DreamzchaserAlso decided that I'm going to get chicks. I'm wondering if it'd be cheaper to build a coop or just buy one somewhere
Mine are feathered. Brown feathers and tan eggs. Go brown and tan.Buckeyes... I hear they are a hairless nut?
IT is all that, plus games - Chase the Loose Chicken is a big favorite. And a gift swap - all kinds of great stuff, including arts, plants, foodstuff (mm Maple Syrup!) And birds to swap/sell/give away.I'm new too. I think it's a potluck get together and people bring stuff to sell/trade. And since there's food, we would eat. And talk and laugh. I'm sure bringing pictures is mandatory. But since phones are now cameras, that's easy to do.
Not to mention the karaoke and ballroom dancing competition.IT is all that, plus games - Chase the Loose Chicken is a big favorite. And a gift swap - all kinds of great stuff, including arts, plants, foodstuff (mm Maple Syrup!) And birds to swap/sell/give away.
NC? do tell ! My mom lives south of Asheville. vacation planning?I'm sure hubby will want to go to NC sooner rather than later, because of the heat. I know he wants to go to Pittsburgh too, but no timeline.
If a Chickenstock date is picked, I will work to plan around that. So far, other than some glorious day in June (TBD) when I go to Gladwin to get chicks, there is nothing written on my calendar. Any weekend works for me. So far.![]()
