Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

So my ducks are eating A LOT more food. More than I can afford. They are currently on Mazuri starter waterfowl and I'm trying to find a good transition food for them. I checked the bag but couldn't find what good food to switch them to. Any ideas?

I checked the adult Mazuri waterfowl but it'll cost me 42.99 for the food itself then another 42.99 to ship it!

Sell me 2 females, I drive north, I love driving.
I'll let you know if I do any hatching this summer, if I get a broody hen I will probably put some eggs under her.

Riss, at 2 months of age couldn't your ducks be put on to an adult waterfowl feed? Looks like Purina makes a duck feed you can feed all the way from duckling to adult. I think you can also feed ducks Flock Raiser

They are not quite 2 months but close. And the adult waterfowl would cost be $90 for 50lbs. When I was looking at Purina in the beginning people said it wasn't the best cause it didn't give them all the nutrients

Purina has a pretty good track record for livestock feed. There is a tendency among some people that only the most expensive, exclusive feeds are adequate for their precious babies. Yet it is clear that there are many feeds that are perfectly fine for normal flocks. You have to consider what you can afford. While I would love to eat only the finest foods, when I shop I take price into consideration when buying groceries.

It looks like TSC carries the duck pellets.

Okay good. People made it sound like if I didn't get the best quality my ducks would well die. Wonder if I could supplement stuff in there too kind of like treats.
