Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

No storms here last night. There was only a 30% chance of rain yesterday and of course it hit at work just after I left the parking lot. I was on the motorcycle for a 5 mile ride through some heavy rain. After that it was nice and sunny for the remainder of the trip home.

I've spent all morning on the phone with DHHS, insurance carrier, Mich Health, and the IRS. Damn health insurance is denying medication and procedures that the cardiologist has ordered. Big fight with them is on-going.
My tax refund is still "in process" and I can't get a real person on the phone. Even the regional office is an automation call centre that hangs up after the menu prompts. So frustrating. My blood is boiling. :barnie
Unbelievable. If I hadn't seen it so often. Just now, picking up synthroid. Insurance will only cover generic for it. My Endocrinologist in the last state I lived in prescribes generics all the time but not for levothyroxine. For that, it matters, he said. Endocrinologist here said the same thing. Different pharmacy wouldn't fill the 90 days as the dr ordered. Only 30 days because insurance

At least it possible to buy it without insurance. My best friend couldn't get the pain meds she needed and the doctor ordered after back surgery (like three days after; and the surgeon had to get to her spine through her abdomen). Didn't matter that she was willing to pay for it without insurance, the pharmacy said the insurance wouldn't allow it.

We should never have given them this much power.

Possibly in the process of getting two huskies from the shelter I work at but also not sure. I put a hold on them so I have 48 hours to decide if I want to. I know I want the one but I'm debating if I take his brother too
I won't have my house built for another couple weeks as I'm getting close to all the funds with finishing it up. So the dogs would be staying in the house with my parents and I want to be respectful of the pets already in there and my parents. I would have the dogs in crates while I'm at work but I usually work like 4-6ish hour shifts and they are night ones plus the dogs would sleep in their crate too so I don't like having them in there that long

It must be hard not to bring them all home!

Riss, it really sounds like you are not in a position to take those dogs right now. Also if you are in a very small house two big dogs might crowd things up quite a bit. If they find another home while you are working towards your goals, that would be great, and if they are still available when you are ready for them then you could consider whether you wanted to get one or both.
