Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Follow up with my nurse today. PICC line dressing changed. The line looks nice and clean. It should be good until I can get the TEE scheduled.
Lab culture results from the IV site came back. Not mersa but somehow related as a difficult to treat infection.
I don't get the routine or common maladies. I get the weird stuff. Nurse said that she has never seen the infection that I have. Nothing like this in her 20 years of being a nurse.

I just have to be different, eh? :gig

You are correct. The trouble is that I get bored easily. So I'll start something then see something else and jump on that. I realize that I can't do the heavy lifting any more so I'll put on my Engineer hat and figure out a way to work smarter instead harder.

Hauling that wood yesterday, I had help from a neighbor. He is an old guy like me so we tag teamed the heavier pieces. Same neighbor who I helped cut wood before I went into the hospital.

Between the power outage and hospital stay I lost 4-5 weeks of doing chores. I don't really want to be cutting firewood or cleaning the coop, garage, yard, etc. when it is cold and snowy.

I'm lucky that I have tools to help with the workload. I keep the manual labour at a minimum. And I work in brief increments, resting often and taking regular beer breaks .

It won't kill me to do nothing for a while but it would likely drive me crazy. I promise that I'm not over-doing it.
I can teach you how to crochet!!! That will keep your fingers busy!! Love ya!

Jeebers! I had somuch to read!
Hello everyone. I have been alive and busy after my ER visit. This morning had PT evaluation for my doc in AA wants me to have PT on the right shoulder.

Also had a magical visit today. It was amazing to have this lovely person here. We chat and visited the "MioPuroGalliñeiro" That is Portuguesse for chicken coop. Learned a lot and was given good advise for the coop and run. I am so happy now.
By the way, I have eggs like crazy. Hope I can go down to Indiana to see son who had surgery on his ankle and bring some amount of eggs. I should give away about 60 plus tomorrow at Bible Study group.
I understand about being behind on winterizing chores. I wish I had a bigger area but in a way, I am glad it is only 1.5 acres. Still wish it was at least 5 so I can have pigs and goats. Not crazy about keeping them for they are dirty and smalling areas nor I drink goat milk. However, my idea is for the meat. I could even have one or 2 calves. Maybe I can have a deer or 2 also, lol I love meat.
Hub came out positive for carcinoma, so waiting on Aa to give us a new appointment to have it scrapped and freeze to avoid it from going anywhere else. I have no clue how to be supportve for that but I am glad that in my Bible group, I can lean on them and learn to support him during this time. It is not a bad type but still the word "cancer" alone is a heavy one.
Well, I mentioned about my crowing little tiny pigeon hen but for some reason I cannot change it and my phone save it as an MP4 and I cannot post it in here.

Other than that and dealing with my pre-diabetic and other health issues, I am doing good.

Rose, I have an upcoming appointment on AA on November 4th at 10 am and should be done by 11, so I guess that will put me near Lansing around 1pm or so. I will text you to see if you want to meet.
RAZ I understand that you are so used to being constatntly on the go. However, it would be worse if you get more sick. I think as I read, all kind of agree for you to take it a bit more slower and I think it is out of love fromeveryone for you.
I have to close now and get my girls in bed for the night. To all be safe and I love you all.

Sally, love ya!

~Hugs~and~Kisses~

No me. Unless you near Lansing and want to join us! Dream, any where you want to stop? Cracker Barrel? Lunch? Snack? Or just coffee? Thought CB would be easy for you to find and off highway.

I'm going to do it. Today. Despite half saying so for days now. Weeks? Maybe? However long ago that first frost was.

A wheel barrow full of peppers are going into the freezer. Today. sigh.

The flock doesn't like peppers very much but they have learned to eat them because it is the only fresh food they've been getting. Maybe I can find some purslane or alfalfa to give them a bit of variety. Certainly can find green rye but I rather leave that to grow.
