Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Sure was cold this morning. My thermometer said 16 but the radio said 13. Either case is too dang cold. My arthritis has really been bad for the past few days. Right hand barely works. I keep dropping things. I'm going to have to try CBD oils or something.

Sure is beautiful outside. Great day for bird watching. From the couch of course. ;)

We are under a weather advisory beginning at midnight. Goes to noon tomorrow. Right now it is a mild 35 and brilliant sunshine. It must have excited the girls, they gave up 10 eggs from the 14.
Early this morning there were a pair of pileated woodpeckers in the yard. They have been showing up on a regular basis. There is also a pair of crows that seem to be courting. Bird watching could easily become a full time occupation here. I'm not complaining.

People have talked about crows chasing off hawks. I finally saw that happen. WOW!
It can be fun to watch!
Have seen them chase off other large birds too, turkey and canadian goose.

Yesterday I saw a large crow and a hawk land in the same tree,
they both sat there for about 5 minutes then flew off .
No chasing that I saw.
