I don't know any breeders, but there's probably a shelter near you that you could adopt from.

He wants a puppy before October ends, which I don't understand the deadline.

Maybe so it's mostly house broken before the weather gets too bad? When we've gotten puppies, we got them in May or June so that issue was pretty much taken care of.

You don't want to be pulling on your coat when the puppy gives you "the sign," and then he decides you're taking too long and messes on the floor.

We're calling the shelter tomorrow, but knowing a good breeder will help us too if the shelter doesn't have what we want, or doesn't have puppies.

My old girl, Bella had a piddle just yesterday. I don't blame or scold her for it. As they say, "sh** happens". Heck, it happens to all of us.

I was out back with the horses last week one day. They were gently snuffling against my neck and tugging on my braid, and were very content with neck scratches and nose rubs. Other days they're a little trickier! Today they just wanted the apples.
