Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Oh I also meant to ask, would anyone be interesting in a toggenburg doe? I may have a buyer for her but if that falls through I have no backup. I also have two doelings who have a possible buyer but again no backup plan. They are beautiful goats and are the picture of health, we have just decided to focus on the rest of our farm right now. They have are registered and we have their papers. We love these goats very much and it will be really sad to get rid of them, but we feel it’s best for our situation right now. Again, they may get scooped up soon but Im just afraid of being stuck with one or two that could get lonely. Just figured I’d check here in case I can’t find anyone else

Oh shoot and I forgot about my little buckling. No one has wanted him yet. He’s a very sweet guy. His name is Elvis and he’s nine weeks old. He’s bottle fed due to his mama rejecting him, and he’s extremely sweet. Loves people and to be scratched. I’ll castrate him if people want as a pet, but I know some might want him for breeding.

So you'd think spring and fall would work for both of us. Eh, mostly.
Technically, it's still spring.....until the solstice.
But man it's hot....90 outside, 88 in my house, 93 in the coop.
Supposed to stay like this until 81 next Monday, that's gonna feel great!

I'm loving this warmth. 94 in the sun and 87 in the shade. Very slight breeze from the south. Down by the lake is noticeably cooler. Same when going into the woods. I'm in the ideal spot for me.
I've been putzing with a 100 different chores today. Funny how you can be busy all day and it still looks like nothing has been done.

Even up here it was 80 today, I have been watering my gardens religiously and they have needed it.

Some of the long skinny squash with thinner shells, like Delicata or Candy Roaster can be sliced crossways into rings, and baked with a stuffing in the center. I've not tried it myself but it looks interesting.
