Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Car prices are NUTS! right now! We bought a used car last fall. 6 yo, 90+K miles, and over $11K. The only way we can possibly justify paying that is because we keep them until they're too expensive to repair/unsafe to drive. Our last car we had for 12 years. The Jeep is in its 13th with us.

The cost of everything is going crazy. They talk about 4.3% increase in food prices? No, it's more like 10% or more.

The only thing that has recently come down appreciably in price is eggs. The egg bubble broke awhile a go.

Chiken fairy, it'll be interesting to see what the results of your tomato experiment are.

If you cut one of those tarps, you might want to consider reinforcing the cut edge. Gorilla makes an extra heavy duty all weather tape that sticks like crazy.

My sister is a good sport, she keeps chickens too. I put her on the tractor and she had a little fun.

FWIW... I bought a couple of the TSC heavy duty tarps (black and silver) and wanted to cut it in half the long way to get two tarps for our long wood piles. I turned under the cut edge and zigzagged it with my sewing machine. That has worked very well.

Bowser my dog in his favorite place. It’s common for him to stand between my feet whenever I stop walking. He claimed me for his own when we got him at ten weeks old. He is very attentive to me and is a cuddlebug.

@troyer my cousin is always posting lost German Shephards around the central part of Michigan, but this one is a bit closer in Centerville and the condition of the pup has me concerned. Do you know of anyone missing this pup in your area?
I don’t know of anyone missing a German Shepherd, I do however know that our area is a common place for people to dump their dogs and cats. There are two other small dogs that have become completely feral, they act completely wild. Very sad.

Dream, are you sure one of your hens is sick? You said the hens are in your garden. Could be they're eating a lot of your vegetables and just getting loose stools from that. I gave my hens squash and you should see all the loose green stools. So, it just might be f
