The light/dark argument has been made for a long time. Usually people cite the 16 hours that production facilities use. They are production birds and not our muttley backyard flocks, so I find it difficult to draw parallels. It is darker than I was thinking in there coop, if it was too dark would that be the reason, or one of the reasons?
I don't think there is a "general rule", my ISAs are typically first thing in the morning, my BO usually around noonish. All 4 of the BSL's are any time of day that suits them...no rhyme or reason.Ooh PLUS my egg seems to come after noon, I thought they laid in the morning as a general rule?
I can noodle the data several different ways and get just about any result or trend that you like. That's part of the problem with statistics that I always had. There are just so many variables that can be thrown into the mix. Still it is kind of fun to play with. Can you share any trends that you notice?
