My suggestion for the sick chickens is MSU- the avian guy is a wealth of knowledge.

It surely is cold out! Boy were my legs sore exercising this morning...stood too long on the concrete at Fowl Fest. Every year I forget the chairs!!!

Got to get back to work!

Afternoon everyone, I have had a really crappy day today. 2 labradors got into my coop and killed everything! So I'm stuck with nothing in the barn except for 2 turkeys that were in a diff pen that the dogs didn't get. I had animal control take the dogs away. he says I can get restitution on my ducks. they were both hens over a year old how much would you charge

hope everyone is have a better day than me

for your ducks i guess it depends on the breed, do a search for some breeders and see how they would charge to replace and get that info in writing from that breeder so you have proof of what they cost.

there was a school teacher that sued a man that his dogs got into her chicken coop and killed half of them, and she was awarded replacement cost of what it would cost to replace them at the age they were when they were killed. I cant remember what state she was in.

Something got 3 of my wellie girls in the last couple days. Dang it. Only have 3 left. Why couldn't whatever it is eat one of my extra roosters. I am going to have to lock them up in the yard and watch their poor little faces look at us through the fence.

Could it be fox? We have had a terrible fox problem this year! Well, until we got our Remi dog!! He solved that problem, so far, so good, no coons, fox, dogs, etc.
