Sarah...it has been quite 'simplistic' actually. nothing fancy schmancy.
rules of engagement (ha ha)
1.
Self - Control, NOT Will Power. totally different babies. Self - Control is a fruit of the spirit that i have access to as a child of the King. Will Power is easily reasoned out of. "i'll work out twice tomorrow." "it's cold" "i can cut more calories tomorrow and eat this today" Self - Control says, "I can do this right now no matter what by the power of Christ!"
2.
1500-1600 cals a day... about a third is FAT. yep. FAT. real fat. (everybody needs a different calorie count, according to their body size,
HERE is a good calculator) i'll need to recalculate as i go along.
3.
Accountability...after losing about 30 pounds myself, i joined
T.O.P.S. to help keep going and keep accountable to someone. so far, so good. it's inexpensive. ($26 a year, $5 a month) you can follow any diet you'd like. there are contests all the time and it's for men and women. private weigh ins.
4.
Working Out...with
Leslie Sansone dvd's. her programs all incorporate "In Home Walking". literally, you walk in place to a certain pace. pace = miles per hour. i do 2 miles in 20 minutes.
5.
Hydration... Lots of water and ZippFizz...i drink a ton of water and two vials of
ZippFizz everyday. I LOVE ZIPPFIZZ. it's loaded with vitamins and minerals. it is an energy drink, but no psycho load of energy, no jitters and no low afterward.
you can get them at Sam's Club or Costco WAY cheaper then the ZippFizz website. they are delicious and have the same B12 as a B12 shot at the doctor's office.
6.
Eating REAL food. i don't eat 'diet' foods much. i eat REAL food. like at fowl fest, if most of you looked i ate two HONKIN' beef patties for lunch. i eat a lot of veggies, Hemp Heart Seeds, whole grains etc. just weigh my portions, measure etc. i don't eyeball things. eyeballing will be WAY off. that'll get you in trouble.
i think that is it. and speaking of, it's gonna be time to work out soon here. seriously, the workouts are easy, and you can go at your own pace anytime, you don't have to 'keep up' or 'do moves' so i encourage anyone looking to strengthen or workout to give them a whirl. i think Netflix has some of hers that can be borrowed. anyone around here that wants to borrow some, i have an older one that is really good that i can lend out too.
