MJ, I meant to tell you that I think you look like twenty something in your avatar.
Lately my work out has been just trying to do the house work. Does that count? I also re potted some amarylis bulbs. I have a bagfull and I don't know what to do with them.
I know I spelled that wrong

oh, well i look 20 something through the magic of mineral make up! thank you, Cover Girl. i love that stuff! the mini picture i think helps too! you can't see the wrinkles!!!

of course house work counts as a work out! i was mopping and dusting and all that today and man, that's all the muscles, it is continuous movement and it can be moderate exercise depending on how high your heart rate gets! heck yes it counts!!!!

gardening counts too. all of those things are listed and you can look them up for calories burned etc. anything that is movement is MOVEMENT!

Good Evening!

MJ- Share what you are doing to get so great looking! 6 lbs in a week is awesome!!!! I think I gained 3 pounds

I do need to do something different!

Got the girls into the drs at 5pm. They are all on antibotics and an inhaler. Gretchen has an ear infection and wheezing. Emily has wheezing and a difference between her 2 lungs and Rachel has a difference between her 2 lungs. Dr figures the older 2 have walking pnemonia. So much for the girls insisting that they are fine!

Off to get myself to bed. gotta keep myself healthy!

Sarah

Good morning all. I got all of the cages built inside of the coop yesterday so this winter I shouldn't any problems with my roosters combs getting frost bitten.
I have a large wheeled RubberMaid box that I used for a brooder last year. If anyone wants it they can have it. The lid is covered with wire mesh.
I just heard the weatherman say the word I'm not ready to hear yet. Snow. I still have much to do before we start getting any accumulation.

OK guys, I'm frustrated and need to vent! A while ago I gave away some chickens to a fellow BYC member. A week or so later they posted that all their chickens were killed by some predator. OK, that happens..... kind of upset me but hey, we've all had a predator problem or two. Now, I just saw a post that they are looking for more birds (in a different forum here) and are telling people something different happened to them. I had a bad feeling in the beginning and I guess I should have listened. Some people just frustrate me! I don't like dishonest people, especially when it involves a life.

I know what you mean about dishonesty. I never could understand lying. I know that I'm not smart enough to lie; it's too hard to remember which story you have told to who, and now that I'm starting to suffer from CRS it really would be a problem. I'm a firm believer in your word is your bond.

Sarah...it has been quite 'simplistic' actually. nothing fancy schmancy.

rules of engagement (ha ha)

1. Self - Control, NOT Will Power. totally different babies. Self - Control is a fruit of the spirit that i have access to as a child of the King. Will Power is easily reasoned out of. "i'll work out twice tomorrow." "it's cold" "i can cut more calories tomorrow and eat this today" Self - Control says, "I can do this right now no matter what by the power of Christ!"

2. 1500-1600 cals a day... about a third is FAT. yep. FAT. real fat. (everybody needs a different calorie count, according to their body size, HERE is a good calculator) i'll need to recalculate as i go along.

3. Accountability...after losing about 30 pounds myself, i joined T.O.P.S. to help keep going and keep accountable to someone. so far, so good. it's inexpensive. ($26 a year, $5 a month) you can follow any diet you'd like. there are contests all the time and it's for men and women. private weigh ins.

4. Working Out...with Leslie Sansone dvd's. her programs all incorporate "In Home Walking". literally, you walk in place to a certain pace. pace = miles per hour. i do 2 miles in 20 minutes.

5. Hydration... Lots of water and ZippFizz...i drink a ton of water and two vials of ZippFizz everyday. I LOVE ZIPPFIZZ. it's loaded with vitamins and minerals. it is an energy drink, but no psycho load of energy, no jitters and no low afterward.
you can get them at Sam's Club or Costco WAY cheaper then the ZippFizz website. they are delicious and have the same B12 as a B12 shot at the doctor's office.

6. Eating REAL food. i don't eat 'diet' foods much. i eat REAL food. like at fowl fest, if most of you looked i ate two HONKIN' beef patties for lunch. i eat a lot of veggies, Hemp Heart Seeds, whole grains etc. just weigh my portions, measure etc. i don't eyeball things. eyeballing will be WAY off. that'll get you in trouble.

i think that is it. and speaking of, it's gonna be time to work out soon here. seriously, the workouts are easy, and you can go at your own pace anytime, you don't have to 'keep up' or 'do moves' so i encourage anyone looking to strengthen or workout to give them a whirl. i think Netflix has some of hers that can be borrowed. anyone around here that wants to borrow some, i have an older one that is really good that i can lend out too.
