SURE folks can come to just say hello! I should have put that in my post. All suggestions & feedback welcome & appreciated, as I've never done this before. Oh...are there any "rules" that BYC has about arranging this sort of thing via this forum? I hadn't thought about that...

Hi there chicken lady I am in grand rapids too
I am so tired of this weather
I live on top of a nasty hill and any way I go there is a hill so if it gets bad again I will staying right here whimming I wish I was out
I am on the north east side near downtown no snow yet just looks nasty
Please no more snow

I'd love to meet up with ya'll.

The only time I think I am not available in June is the first weekend. We have a graduation to go to in the UP. No biggie, you folks go ahead and plan what works for the majority.

Last year frankenchick organized a get together in nearby Potterville, I couldn't attend, but.....it is right off I-69 minutes from Lansing. They have a nice park to meet at, McD's, and a subway (and of course Joes gizzards)

I don't have any eggs or chicks to swap but I'd still like to visit. Might build a chicken tractor or something I could bring.....

I will confirm the open house, but don't let that stop anyone from picking a firm date.

Steve, we'll try for another w/e then.

How 'bout folks indicate which day works best - I'm assuming a Saturday would be best for all? Don't want to interfere with church for anyone. So - let me know which Saturdays you are available in June, too.

Since Miss_Jayne start it with posting pictures of horses, I thought I'd post this picture of my granddaughter Morgan on her chromed grulla Paso Fina mare. It was taken last May and I think she has probably grown about a foot since then. Morgan, not the horse.

Here's pics of my two horses. My black/white mare can pull a wagon, no problem! She's 19 years old, but has the heart of a 3 year old! The bay/white is a gelding...this pic is the day after his surgery last May. I don't ride any more, so these 2 are pretty much just eye candy. I've had the mare 18 years and the gelding is her son. They're my four legged children...permanent fixtures of the farm.
