HBR, I know Wynette got a pig from Steve in Charlotte. Might want to e mail him or ask Wynette about it. Hi guys! Sure was a beautiful day out! Took the dogs for a long walk and then had to give the little guy a bath. The other had to be brushed. Chickens are in seventh heaven with this weather, but I heard the s word for this week end. Hopefully, the pattern of weathermen being wrong will hold up.

HBH, prayers being said for your niece will be said. Hope all turns out ok.
Take care...

Good Evening!

what a nice day!

Rachel's hen had died when I came back from going to town.

I spent a little while this afternoon cleaning up dog poo. Got the back yard down. It is the least messed area... so I am set up to do the front yard tomorrow. The kids couldn't play kick ball well today with dad while I was gone. So it is moved up the to do list!

Off to get the kids to bed.

Sarah

I'm sorry about Rachel's hen. I lost an eggbound one not too long ago. I felt bad I couldn't have done more.

I did the same thing today. I still have some spots that are pure mush, so I got the dry areas at least.

Hopefully, I can get the other spot in the next day or two. ( mud be gone! )

funny how that s... word is a s... word.

So far this week I have gotten 3 eggs smaller than a dime. Today was the first day that my hens have been segregated so I was able to determine the tiny eggs are coming from my bantam spangled hamburgs. I sure hope this small egg isn't going to be the norm.

Good Evening All,

It sure is like a relaxing refreshing breath of fresh air to come here and read your posts after a long hard horrible day.
Thank you all for the well wishes and the good luck vibes for my little eggs. Like I said, it is going to be a verry long month..and sevenchickens and I may just need some tranquilizers when its time for them to pip.

prayers for HBH niece- I sure hope her and the baby are going to be okay. keep us posted.

My dog and I did an extra mile this morning, getting us up to 3 miles now. I tried to make up for short-changing him yesterday. I literally could NOT feel my hands at all when we were done. They were colder today than they were on a colder morning when he and I pulled off two miles in temps below 30 degrees. I couldn't find my van keys after our walk because I couldn't feel them in my pocket with numb hands and when the feeling came back they STUNG like crazy. I had them plastered to the heat vents while I was driving. I don't get it.they shouldnt have been so cold.
My dog found a dead raccoon on our adventure. I am soo glad I trained him well. He nosed it, I said leave it and he jumped away and stayed by my side. It was a young coon- I have no idea what would have killed it. I suppose it could have been killed by an old coon, lost without its mom- it wasn't a baby, just a young size. However, i worry about rabies. Hope I dont have to worry about rabid coons in me and my dogs favorite walking woods/field.

I am so tired. I had a very emotionally draining 10 hour work day- plus school nurse called and my 11 year old daughter had a seizure at school (she is epileptic) and my friends b/f called me and told me to come pick up my son- they cant do it anymore, its too hard (my son is a troubled bipolar diagnosed, with a drug addiction who stays there to go to an alternative high school...about forty five minutes from my house). He was an hour late coming home, and I couldn't finish that conversation because I was still at work. Told them i would call them back, and then they didn't answer the phone.

As soon as my other daughter calls and tells me that church is over, I am picking her up and DROPPING in bed. Bet I am asleep before my head hits the pillow.
I made my mother in law an appointment with a neurologist on Monday at noon. I am not sure she is going to be able to make it until then before we have to force her to go through the ER, but God-willing, she will be okay. The crazy lady was trying to get her laundry off the line today, and collapsed in the yard- not passed out, just that her legs wouldn't support her any more or let her walk. My husband was in the house- he could have gotten the laundry, but like I said, she is fiercely independent. I love her so much.

You all have a wonderful night. Church HAS to be over soon...my bed is calling me.

Mom 2emAll- You are having your share of problems. When it rains it pours! I really hope things start turning around for you. I went through a spell last spring where is seemed everything was crashing down around me, it got to the point where all I could do was laugh. I'll be thinking of you. Only 30 more days to go! Hang in there!

Good morning!
Thank you. I will be okay- some days are just harder than others- I earned an easy one today, I hope.
Opa- it must be the week of the little eggs. I have large hens, but have gotten two little bitty eggs in a mix of normal size ones this week. Not quite as small as your eggs though. The first one made me stop and think, "Do I have a banty?""uh..no.." lol.

So funny, I got off the computer last night after my post and couldnt believe my daughter hadnt called from church yet. Checked my phone- it was on silent..and she had called four times. So, the same time I started to spazz, her youth group leader pulled up the driveway with her. I ran out there to explain that I really wasnt ignoring her calls...and to thank him tremendously for bringing her home.

Todays Wednesday..which means I have tomorrow off-

Coffees on- Happy St. Patricks Day- make sure you all wear green today

I usually work the LA Times crossword puzzle each morning but I think that this morning the leprechauns may have imbibed too much and have forgotten that today is March 17th. Everytime I try to load the daily puzzle yesterday's keep popping up. Maybe I should go ahead and do it and impress myself with how fast I can complete the puzzle.
The weather forecast looks as if we are in store for another great day. Overall the forecast sounded pretty good until he mentioned that we have a cold snap is headed this way.
