Tons of people are there, but you never know, sometimes no one is interested in what you are. Sometimes everyone is. That is part of what makes it fun, trying to get a good bargain. Sometimes people pay way more than something is worth, other times you can get things for dirt cheap! Some things never even get a bid and you can get it for a $1 or less. They have several auctioneers and rings going at the same time, so the people are spread out. Sometimes it is hard to watch all the things you are interested in.

Wow, sounds like fun. Neither one of us have ever been to an auction or know how to bid or anything, but no doubt we'd find stuff we all like! We need a few more animals, lawnmower, winter car, etc LOL. Just don't know how to do it

Here is the phoenix roo, anyone interested?

I think you would figure it out, it is not too hard. Show up, stop at the office to get a number, you need your drivers license for that. Then you bid. Pay attention to how each item is being sold as they often change it from item to item, sometimes it is all for one price, sometimes it is X times the bid (however many there is). Some people get caught that way and end up paying more because they weren't listening. Come watch for a while and when you feel comfortable, jump in! That is what I do!

Hmm, I wanna go! Not sure how much money I'd need though since we only operate by debit or credit cards. Does it cost to get in? I might just go to watch for the next time

Hello All-
I spent two days digging out a ten foot by eight foot pond ...maybe bigger, actually, because my husband helped at the end (read: he took over my project and changed my design

).. for the brat ducks. Its about three foot deep at the one end and then shallow at the other end.
I filled in the ditch. I then spent two days waiting for the "chicken" ducks to go in and enjoy what I created. They would only stare into it, looking for the fictional alligator that they were certain was lurking and waiting for them.

Finally, yesterday, my wild mallard took the plunge- and within minutes of him surviving, they all joined in. What a joy to watch them diving and "flying" in the water.

I can barely move my arms. My shoulders have reminded me that hard work hurts- and my muscles are screaming, "What in the *&%^ were you thinking?" ..

Well, the water is all it took and my oldest muscovy and my hormonal runner drake have been having "battle of the hormones"- and fighting it out in the yard/water/garage/etc. The male mallards have joined in. I am thinking when it is over, I will have 'top drake' and his subordinates.

Oh, and his harem. The girls- there are five total....just stay out of their way. I really really wish I only had one male duck. I tell Mr. Hormones all the time, that he may have been my first, but he doesnt have to be my last- duck. He even grabs my chickens- as if five females arent enough for him.

Opa, I hope you are feeling better. Glad to see you posting again. The molt is going on here, big-time also! My yard is covered in white feathers.

I have to take my son to school again starting today. I will be making my drive out to Newport every single morning. Briana, I will wave at you.

Everyone have a great day!

Looks like it's going to be a chilly one out there today. This weather is making me want to break out the fall decor, start making fall foods, etc. but I know it's too soon. Summer will make another appearance, at least that's what they keep saying. It's getting tougher by the day though. Last weekend we had a pumpkin roll. Today I'm very tempted to pull some stew meat out of the freezer and make stew for dinner... I love fall!

Keyt - I can't speak for that one specifically but most auction companies accept Cash, Credit and Personal Check. Vicki may know, if not you can call the company that is running the auction ahead of time and find out what payment methods they take.
