Morning everyone. Hope you are warm.

I drink coffee but for some reason it is a seasonal drink. Usually when the weather cools (Sept.) I begin and when it warms up ( Mar.) I stop. I just don't care for a hot drink in warm weather. I like to flavor it with either French vanilla or English toffee.

Yeah, you are right, nothing is ever built big enough. But a 10 x 16 is a lot bigger than what I have, and material wise within my "farm budget" I started drawing up a set of plans so I can visualize it before I begin. I want to put a wire mesh divider so I can have mixed ages in it.

Vicki, I think the little guy is winning his stay with the wife, especially when she found out he was hatched on our grandsons birthday. She got up this morning and went down to check in on em, funny....for a lady who didn't want chickens in the beginning she sure has changed her tune.

MJ, I hope all goes well today, we'll miss your prescensce.

Morning all. DS and I just got up...should've been up an hour ago. I see we have more snow...just what we needed.

At least MAYBE that means it's at least a smidgin warmer this morning.

I have this pair of Delawares for sale if anyone is interested:

I would possibly consider a trade for a couple of bantams, if they're a breed I'm interested in.

Hope everyone has a great day, stay in if you can and stay warm. Time to go water everyone and turn the horses out. Be back later!

I think it is a sign Steve! Those little ones are meant to be there!!

I am all for having a rooster here, I like the sound of the crowing. I'm pretty sure she will too....in time.

Hi All!!!
Sitting here drinking my coffee too. I like either french vanilla or Irish creme in mine. Never could stand it black. My hubby thinks it is just to irritate him. Maybe so.
I was able to get a couple of really nice silkies from Vicki. They are doing good. Right now, the silkies are the only ones laying.
My hubby didn't care for the chickens and said he would have nothing to do with them, but, he winds up going out and taking care of them and watches them peck around and chase each other too!!! He even has his favorites.
Our coop was made out of whatever we could scrounge up at the time. God willing, we can make a better one in the future. For now it does the job and keeps them out of the cold. We had so many odds and ends and different colors of wood. Now it is painted and looks better. I keep showing him disigns of coops.
At least with the sun shining, it makes it look like a wonderful day anyway.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!!! Myrna

Hope felt the same way. Then after we got them I'd find her out in the coop picking up birds and talking to them. Heck, now we even have a house chicken.

Well, I hope everything went well with Miss_Jayne's test today. Years ago I had doctors do a CatScan on my head. They said they couldn't find anything. I guess that explains that big empty room echo I keep hearing.
