Hi Lauren! How was your day?


I'm off to put everyone to bed for the night. The horses are standing at the barn doors ready to go in. Be back in a little while...gotta finish baking peanut butter cookies.

Chocolate Cake
2 cups sugar 2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups buttermilk 2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt 1 stick butter
4 squares bitter chocolate

Melt chocolate and butter in dbl boiler -
In mixing bowl add buttermilk and soda, the slowly add other ingredients mixing well. Pour into three nine inch floured pans
Bake @350 check with toothpick to check doneness

Frosting

1 stick butter 4 squares bitter chocolate
1 lb powder sugar 1/3 cup condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla

In double boiler melt butter & chocolate
In mixing bowl blend melt chocolate butter mixture with vanilla & milk. Slowly add sugar mix well.

That's just in one bator. Just got 24 more sizzle eggs today from someone, plus 6 of my own splash bantam orpington eggs and 2 of my red frizzled hen's egg....all of those are in my #2 bator. Just got word I'll be getting 12 more sizzle eggs next week...the PO did a number on the 24 I received today...damaged box.

HI all I all I already shared with Julie now I can share with you. I got 21 fuzzy butts chilling out, I am really happy with this hatch. Most have feathered feet. They are designer chicks (mixed).

Steve I made a pork roast last month and tried something new I took a bag (not a can) of saurerkraut and poured it over the top of the roast then I poured a bottle of kraft rasberry vinergarette over the top of that put it on 300 degrees and cooked it till it fell apart. I really liked it. Thought I would share.


Opa thank you so much for that recipe, I will have to try it. Oh Ya Quigly down under is on right now.

One ? can anyone recommend an electric fence, my fencer is on it's last leg. I need a strong one because that dog next door will go right thru them. We do have a new TSC here. I really know nothing about them, I want one that will burn weeds, and melt snow if at all possiable LOL. Thanks

Good Evening!

We may be going and getting a puppy tonight!!! A spur of the moment thing. One of the girls at ballet today told my 7 year old that they had some black lab puppies for sale. They are 12 weeks old and there are 4 boys left. They dropped the price to $150 so they can go somewhere other than there home They are registered AKC. quite excited! Hope it does well with the chickens!!!

I will go and get the recipe for my chocolate cake. Post it in a few minutes.
