Well Congratulations Myrna on the grandchild! I have a nephew named Benjamin, I really like the name

We are offical dog owners now. We have a 12 week old black lab male named Leo. This is the name that the family used and he really responds to it so it may stick with him.

Leo is really smart. No accidents so far, and with it being so cold he goes out does his business and in we come.

His old home had cats, he actually has a scab coming off his nose from a cat scratch. so he is keeping his distance from our 2 cats.

His home is our garage, heated. He has a crate to keep him out of trouble and to give the cats a break since they all share the garage now.

He just got into something he shouldn't and I said "no leo" and he stopped and turned and looked at me and walked away. Hope all the training is this easy! He already nows how to sit and come. So we are on our way.

I am breaking him of jumping. My big pet peev with dogs. If Leo would jump on my 2 young boys then they would fall to the ground. So getting rid of that!

Congratulations, Myrna! Our oldest two kids have given us beautiful grand- babies. It is so much fun! I love being a "Memaw", lol.

You can't beat a good Labrador for a "kid dog", Sarah, can you? I wouldn't be without one. Our year old pup, Gus, learns fast like your Leo. We just tell him once and he seems to have it (except for one major flaw- a penchant for eating certain laundry items- we now have gates in front of the laundry room!) I just try to stick to the same basic commands and added some hand signals. He loves his crate. I keep thinking, wow, if he is this good now, he will be great in a couple of years.

Morning All-
Congrats on the new baby!!! What a blessing!! I love new babies!!!

Congrats on the new puppy too!! What fun!!

Puppies and babies could anything be better? Maybe if we had green grass....oh well soon.

Ok, I am off to put the second coat of paint in DD's room....I think paint is my way of fighting off cabin fever. First it was the kids bathroom. Then the kitchen remodel and now her room. I am already thinking of the next room.

It probably is a good thing that they don't sell Blue Bell ice cream around here. I might be walking around in pertetual state of brain freeze. I sure to love sweets. Cake for breakfast, what could be pie for lunch be a close second? I sure am glad that eating frosting doesn't cause weight gain.

Hi All!!
Thanks about the great grandson. And you are right, being a grand parent is so cool when they are fussy or wet or stinky, just hand them back!!!! I really like that part. Now we have two great grand daughters and one great grandson. Someone must be getting old? Must be the grandkids!!!!
Two of our grandsons are sitting here fighting over the Playstation game now and of course starving!!! They are always hungry at Grampa and Grammas house!!!
Pups are so much fun!!! Now babies, puppies, and little fuzz balls chirping. That is a great combination. Makes ones cheer up just from the talk of it.
Those cupcakes are rolls look so good. When our sons were home, I used to bake all the time. Now I got lazy and hardly ever bake.

Great News!! My little buff laced polish are starting to lay!!

I found one little white egg! Of course they rolled it out of the nest box and it cracked, but thats ok at least they are starting to lay!!

All this talk of sweets and goodies has got me going! I am going to give the house a good cleanin' and then I am baking something yummy!
