woohoo...BIG changes around my place today. My sister was n the U.P. earlier and stopped by and met Stacykins just outside Excanaba and brought 6 buff Chanty's home to me. 8 weeks old.
They were pretty stressed and making alot of noise, till we threw a blanket over them and tucked it down in. They are setting in the garage tonight and will be rehomed in the Chanty Cathedral and fed before we leave for Chickenstock tomorrow. They will have the hut to themselves all day till we get home and can settle in. My husband will be out on a charter...

depending on how many duccle chicks you get, it will probably be in the range of $20-30 range.

sooo much done so much to do!

Coolers are packed in the van. Carriers are barely stuffed in the van.

I will catch the 23 ducks and one elusive chicken in the early morning hours.

I still have to google my route because I dont remember how I got there last year.

I have to make a list of who I am picking up from who...

Im charging my camera battery.

It's funny, the first two people I got birds from were Kim and Vicki. Also my sisters' names. So if I mentioned them I had to clarify which one I was talking about.


Chicks are still hatching like crazy. Not sure if I should bring them. Any thoughts? They've been hatching since late last night.


Also, is it best to have bantams and full sized chicks in separate totes? They all look the same just different sizes.

QUESTION:

we have a phonix Rooster and when we got him the lady had cut his tail, will it grow back?

Also, will he fertilize my RR's and BR's? if so, what kind of chicks will they be?

Might be a little late in getting there.
The silly ducks just don't want to cooperate. Haven't been able to catch them yet.
I'll get 'em in the morning. They are in the garage right now and have found some good hiding spots. But they will come out for frozen peas, then we go for a car ride.

The BSL's are laughing at me and pooping from the rafters...
