It's hot again, but at least the humidity is not as high. Went to my sister's in Brighton on Lake Chemung for our family 4th of July party and reunion. EVERYONE comes. My brother's and sister's kids pop out babies like nobody's business and there must have been 25 children there between 2 mos. and 16 years old. Three of my nieces were nursing babies! Wow, this old lady can't take that many kids in one place!! On my way there I was going down a small gravel road and there was a sign that said GEESE FOR SALE. I slowed down and saw a bazillion Toulouse geese just like yours, Kim! Seriously, there were two huge barnyards full of them!
Maybe they would take Libby. The place is on Hughes Rd. just off M-59.
Well, I still have a ton of huge branches to pick up from the storm the other day, burn them and get the lawn mowed again. Also have to deal with the mite problem in the chicken coop. I went to
TSC and got Ivomec and 8 bales of sawdust, then went to Pet Supplies Plus and got Adams Pyrethrin Dip, then went to Home Depot and got the duster gun like you have Opa. Thanks for posting the picture, I knew exactly what I was looking for because of that. Also got a three pack of Zodiac Indoor Fogger bomb to set off. I'll clean out the coop, then fog bomb, then dust with Sevin and put fresh sawdust back in. I'm not sure what I want to do with the birds though. Dip in the Pyrethrin or dust with Sevin? After reading the warning info chickwannaB posted I'm afraid to do any of it, but can't live with mites either! Could anyone offer advice on which is better or what experience they have had with it? Dipping seems easier, but I'm gonna have some PO'd chickens when I put them in that water! Advice anyone?? I'm afraid I'm going to overdose them on insecticides!
