Um...babi, your little ones are FBCM's from Jerry in Ada, right? Well, I just might take that little boy off your hands when he's bigger, if I can find a home for Worf, my EE roo. I gave away my two FBCM roos a month ago because they were intimidating Joe, my BR roo and making his life miserable. Also didn't need four roos with 13 hens. I really didn't want to do it, because I have two FBCM hens I would like to breed next year, but the coop is so much quieter now and I don't have to separate the roos. I'm thinking that if I get a younger roo he will grow up respecting Joe as the head roo, or don't roosters think that way? Anyway, Worf is turning into a very nice boy, finds food and lets the hens take it out of his mouth, keeps an eye out for danger, etc. I just need to find him a good home, then I could take the little guy.

Yes, I got them from Jerry but they are not from his beautiful birds. He had already pulled his roosters. These he hatched out from another breeder and it turns out they were not the color he was looking for. So lucky me! I didn't want to mislead you. Jerry gave me the eggs they hatched from. I took the picture out side so you can see the true color. Pretty eh?

He may be a splash or part lavender maran. I can call him to ask if you are still interested.

Thanks (and to everyone else!). I have many pain disorders. I've been sick my whole life so one day of pain is normal for me lol. RSD is one of my conditions and it's worse days are brought on by bad weather. Actually, as silly as it sounds, I do hard work to make myself feel better. Yeah, I feel worse at the end of the day, but I'd rather do something than sit around.

Another thing I do is crochet. I've been working on some winter hats for a craft show in Tompkins Center next weekend. Nice thing about crocheting is it takes my mind off pain. If I crochet and watch tv at the same time then I'm really good lol.

So anyway, welcome to the newbies. Hope you really enjoy it here!

I've been scrolling arOund here and maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but does anyone know of any Meetups or Swaps coming up for the Fall??

I'm looking for either Speckled Sussex eggs or chicks.

Of course I've never incubated any... Yet !

I was just looking at some chickens pictures (what else?) and it reminded me of a funny I had to share with y'all...yesterday I was out in the coop and gathered up a couple eggs, no pockets so I tucked them between my b***bs, and then forgot about them. Later in the pole barn hubby ask whats wrong and points to my chest!!!

Hmm, I wonder if I can bribe my elder sister into petsitting, if I could make it to the Fowl Fest! It IS certainly a long drive, but hey, I have family in Ann Arbor I can bunk with for a night.

oh I hope you can come Stacykins.
I may try to pawn off a couple of my roos and the 2 duckies.
that should help drop the feed cost a little
