I so do not know about chicken coloring. LOL. But then again, I am not breeding to get a certain color. I will worry about that later when I start breeding faverolles...

Ok, so I went and did my candling. Of the 7 eggs, 5 were developing. 2 had absolutely no development. Which I guess is good, cuz when I candled them, they looked pourous. They were the wyandottes eggs. SO, both of Buffy's eggs are growing well. Then the 2 cochins mutts and Asters eggs. The one egg of Buffys, is a little behind the other ones, but developing nicely. YEAH! I cracked open the other ones that were not doing anything to look, and doesn't even look like they were fertilized at all. Glad I didn't just leave it to nature! LOL. Those would have been some stinky eggs.

No, really, everyone else seems to be using smilies I no longer have access to. There's a few to the right of the box I'm typing in, but there used to be a "click for more smilies" which I don't have. Is it possibly because "the rich text editor is not compatible with your browser" as I keep getting reminded? I still see all the HTML source codes, and I can get the smile is by typing in the code (as I did above for the "hide under a chair') but they're not available just at a click.
I have recommended intense counseling for the rich text editor and my browser, but apparently due to the pre-nup that rich buster is just gonna walk....

Yorkchic, I can only see a few smilies on the right side of the Reply box when I am on my Droid X cell phone. There is something about that operating system that is very incompatable with BYC. It may be that your device is not very compatable with the new BYC. They are working on a mobile site that hopefully will resolve some of those issues. If you are on a regular computer, you should not be having those problems. If you can't find a solution in the search feature, you can flag your own post and a mod will help you.

Oh - and never seen Glee, never will, and showtunes are definately off the table

She is! We've named her Fiametta, or Fifi for short. Lol. She is so sweet. She lets me pick her up now really easy. Even my son can pick her up! Thank you so much for letting me buy her! The babies are doing great also. The little cripple keeps ripping off her chickie shoe so, she might end up with Roger and Leila in future, they are my silkies..

Sweet! That little runty chick is the most persistent chicken I have ever met. That is why I couldn't put her down when she was first born. She is a little fighter.Try and put tape on top of her toes to hold the chickie shoe on, that may prevent her from pecking on it too much. She tried the same with us but some sticky tape on top really worked.
