Now maybe buying an outfit like that is what I need to get inspired to get back on the diet/exercise cycle.....

Chicken Grandma ?????
LOL That's ok. I was just thinking if I had a mood problem and didn't know it. Sure wouldn't surprise me. Hubby would probably agree that I do though. LOLOoooooppsss! Got you and Fuzzy mixed up - I corrected my previous post! Senility is showing up I guess! We can add that to my prayer request - keep a clear mind while reducing weight- yes that would be good!
Congratulations Nova on the adorable chicks! I hope you sent that picture of the yellow baby peeking out from under it's mother into 'picture of the week'
Congratulations R.Bahmer on the beautiful little sheep
and Farmergirl on the darling daughter.
Totalcolour - you have demonstrated bravery to us. Thank you and God bless you. . Here is a verse for you. ' The eternal God is your Refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms'. When I think of your daughter, I think of her in God's everlasting arms.
Here is an idea. We should pray for each other's children. Just look back at the posts and make a list of the children/young adults who need our prayers and let's start praying for them.
Even if you are a heathen, there is nothing finer you can do for someone than pray for their child.
And for those who struggle with despair as we all do at some time in our lives, always always remember that God loves you and so do we.
'When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I willl be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire.. the flames will not consume you.. I am the Lord your God.... Don't be afraid for I am with you.' Isaiah 43:2-5
So don't ever think for a moment that you are really alone because it ain't so. You are loved.

not only remember when there was 1 TV and few stations but I remember when there was NO TV and we all played games, read, and listened to the radio, and those black plastic discs with a hole in the middle, records? Tell that to your grand kids and they really think you are ancient!!!!!
What a busy thread.
Hugs to everyone who is dealing or dealt with difficult times.
Love all the pictures....chicks, chickens, babies, lambs, calves, pineapples...I hope I didn't miss any....oh yeah, the beautiful zebras!
Today was a beautiful day here. I spent the entire day from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm OUTSIDE! It felt so good, it was warm & the sun was shining....all day! My face actually got tan. We took our kids snowboarding......yup on that fake, man made white stuff because mother nature hasn't followed through on her contract. They had a blast.
Well tomorrow is my big day of trimming. I can't start the task till noon due to church & a Superbowl Breakfast we always attend after church. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc....can't miss that!
Do you guys think my DH and I can get all 12 chickens manicured before the Big Game starts? Remember we've never done this before.
really doesn't take long, might want to do it after they go in for the night, easier to catch them. Super Bowl will mess things up though![]()
My page editor is all messed up. We have firefox and it did an update and now it says the editor isn't compatible with our browser. I can't do half of what I used to. Urgh.![]()
MY bantam roo Gomer was feisty this afternoon. He was picking fights with the other bantam roos. I've never seen any of them do this before so it was a bit surprising. He was most particularly interested in fighting with Mr Peanut. Is this common for roos to do even after they've been together for 9 months?
M.sue- good luck on the manicures
Nova- I could use another coop. You game? You can bring a few of your chickie friends, too.![]()
fighting for roos is normal even occasionally after pecking order is established. As long as they don't go at it to kill they should be OK
Leaving early tomorrow morning for Kentucky to take care of selling Granny's house and to check on my brother. Hopefully I can get everything taken care of in less than a week. Ya'll behave in my absence.
Have a safe trip Opa, we will be praying for you, This a hard thing to do![]()
I got an entire dropper full of poly-vi-sol on myself, I think. It is hard to pry open beaks, and I thought I got some of it in him, but never saw him swallow anything. Right now the drake has apple cider vinegar in his water and he is warm. Hope he pulls through, but now I hear whistling with each breath. Earlier I did not hear this unless I held him close to my face.
I will put him down if need be. I have to wait till morning to get Tylan or the other things I wrote down for antiobiotics.
Could kick myself for not having it on hand already.
Can somebody kick me please?
I saw some penicillin at TSC, that may work well on the whistling sound, if it is respiratory. and I agree with who ever said, put on something they like to eat. I had to dropper med into each bird awhile ago, waited till after dark, kind of squeezed the side of the mouth to open and hopped for the best. Had to give it to them for 5 days so they got used to it by the 5th day. You can also get vitamins & electrolytes to put in the water. don't know if that is as strong as the poly-vi-sol![]()
Have a nice day all, off to Lansing for a Baptism, I'll wave as I go by all of you in that area![]()
