3forfree incubated some of my eggs and then raised them for the last 4 weeks, he brought them over today. How cute. I named this one Spirit and think it's a Light Brahma crossed with Buff Chantecler daddy.

Congrats on the new chicks. Can't wait to see pics.Four Araucana chicks have hatched! One has tiny chin tufts that I almost missed with the other chick fluff (but there are penduncles, which means tufts!). They are so precious! I will share pics soon, since my camera is charging! The remaining two eggs have pipped, so hopefully hey do well. These chickens will be new blood for my flock, since they came from a breeder I have not purchased from. The eggs were the bluest of blue, no contamination and green eggs. So I am very excited for these birds!
Such cuties. What kind are they ?
Ever since I was little, I've always been lucky at getting close to critters.Spirit sure is a cute chicken ChicwannaB!
RaZ - how did you get the chickadee to land on you?
Aboiut the M.S.U. Small flock workshop - I think it is on Tuesday, Mar. 6th so it is a day after the Wildflower event you posted RaZ.
Looks like Snowflake and Farmerboy are heading down in the early a.m. for the Pullorium workshop. I will go down for the lunch which is included in the price and then stay for the afternoon workshop by one of the vets on small flock management.
If anyone from the G.R. area would like a ride for the second half of the day please let me know. I would love to meet any BYC member who attends so please p.m. me if you are planning on going so that I can look for you there and introduce myself!
Congrats on the cute chicks everyone and Farmerboy - I hope you find that peafowl.
