Not to mention lots of shed collectors out looking for them wouldn't pass them up!

If cutting the rack off grosses you out.. take a trash bag and put it over the head, then cut it completely off at the neck. I've tossed heads on my shed roof to bleach in the sun before.

It certainly has been a mild winter. My pond is completely clear of ice, in fact, it never iced over completely at all.
Yay! Post 100 to RaZ and Farmerboy16!!

I've been watching the swans and geese land on my pond. They come in on partial ice and just as they think they made a smooth landing - wham - them fall through the ice! Like watching bowling pins fall.

Hee, hee! Yesterday the goosers were able to get into their wading pool and splash around a little. I looked at them and thought, they look a little bit too high in there, and kinda unsteady. When I got closer, they were slipping and sliding on a thick slab of ice but their weight had sunk the slab low enough so a little water seeped over it and they could splash and bathe themselves, but the slab kept shifting under their movements. Pretty funny to watch. But they seemed very happy to have some water in liquid form in the pool again.

thanks for the video on raptors Raz I enjoyed that the owl one was good too.
some hawks I recognize from their call but still need lots of work on recognizing in the air. the video had good points to look for if I can remember how has what
