did you find ducks, RaZ?

I just had the most yummy tea. Valerian and mint. Nice relaxing tea. Very good with a bit of sugar. Honey is nice too, but we are fresh out after the sore throat made the rounds...

Chicken grandma, I would love to go with you, however, there is no way I could leave my kids with their grandma for that long and not worry like crazy that I would get home and she'd have had another stroke cuz they drove her crazy. And I would worry that she'd get herself worked up over what to do. If it requires more than a few steps to follow...

Hi Mom2emAll!!! :) How've you been?!?! I suppose I'll just have to get over it and start hanging out on here again ;)
my incubator has a handful of silkie eggs in it that are due to hatch in a couple days... yayee! Last year my incubator had been running full force from January until chickenstock so this is a little change in pace this year with the silkies. My goal this year is to make a couple small chicken tractors to seperate out the colors so I can control my hatches a bit more color-wise....hoping to have some splash chicks with me at ChickenStock! I'm also shooting to pair up the right ones to get some splash showgirls too....woohoo!

How eggciting... good luck with this hatch and hang out here again!

ok, not sure if I did this right...or if I need to hit "quote" instead of "reply" but thanks for the compliment! From what I understand the silkies (normal and showgirls) are supposed to have blue/black skin. It's one of my favorite birds we have right now...I'll try to post another picture :)

TGIPF!!

RIRJen, that's one of the prettiest naked necks I've seen. Love the dark skin and blue!

Farmerboy hope your bird made it home this morning.

1mutt.. yeah lots of bugs this year I'm afraid. I worry that it will also be a hot dry summer too. But, then again, it may be a good long growing season for the garden. Last year my garden was pathetic so we really need a good one this year so we can restock the canned goods!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
