RaZ ordered Mallards. RIRJEN - Hannah is just beautiful and the Silkies are cute also.... but not nearly as pretty as Hannah.

Nova - my mom (now deceased) would make your mom look good. Trust me on that one. I do understand.

RaZ ordered Mallards.

Like I said before, there are no secrets on BYC.

Now guess how many.

Just got back from a date - I think the first time in months we have gone out. Tonight was 23 years since our first date back in high school. Time flies. Came home in a white out, with people driving 40 and DH having a fit because he drives it, plows it all winter and can't stand people going slow... I just close my eyes.

just went back and read your old post. how did the super glue work out??? what a clever idea looked pretty good, covered the bald spts

The glue worked great, the problem is within two days all the feathers have been plucked out and I have to start over again. I'm just not sure what to do, we had a Polish hen that was bullied to death and I really don't want that to happen.

I think I am going to have to put some eggs under my broody girl. She was fighting with everyone today when I pulled her out to eat. Her broody patch isn't just a patch it's her whole belly. I'm just not sure if I should put her in the small coop by herself or in the big coop in one of my rooster boxes that is a 2 foot cube. I don't want her to get cold if she is the only one in the coop. Then I'm not sure if I should buy some eggs or just stick some under her. I didn't really want more barn yard mixes this year but not sure I want to spend a bunch when it's the middle of winter and her first hatch.

still no word from farmerboy about his peafowl??
Don't remember who posted the cake recipe but it was very good even though I forgot to add the vanilla

I got a text massage at work from my dad.... Dad-''Found your peacock and he is ok'' Me- ''Thank you and where was he?'' Dad- ''Under - Neighbor's name- deck in the woods behind us.'' Me- ''Whoa, who got him? Is he home now? Dad- ''-Youngest brother's name and 3rd sister's name- got her and we strung her up by her feet and hung her from the top of the coop as punishment.'' Thank God! :woot I just could not believe that the neighbors that lives on the other side of the woods found my pea under their deck. That is quite a walk for my siblings to get that pea! I tried to post google map of our area with pointers to give you guys an idea how far the pea had traveled. But I am clueless on how to do it. That woods is infested with raccoons and host of other varmints! BTW They did not strung her on to coop, my dad was making a joke. When you meet my dad you will understand. :gig Thank you everyone for your thoughts and concerns about my pea. :hugs

I have yet another question, this is for those of you who have roosters, more than one. My favorite Roo Al is a Polish. He is a great rooster but gets picked on by the hens. They pluck his feathers out and peck him bloody on his head and tail, ok he doesn't have a tail right now. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/526515/rooster-toupee I have never seen him even scuffle with the other roos. So I have tried everything to get them to leave him alone. At this point all I can think of is to separate him, my concern is if I do that then when he goes back he may end up fighting with the roos. What do you think? I have 6 roos. 3 Standard and 3 Bantam.
I have a somewhat similar problem, but it's not the hens beating up my Red, it's my other big roo Newton. Red was the big man on campus, but I noticed the other day when I went in the big coop that he seemed to be keeping on the other side of me from the other chickens. I just thought it was odd, but he did it again the next day. I moved, he moved. At one point when I moved, Newton made his move. I was quite surprised at that. I have been noticing that Newton seems bigger now, but thought nothing of it. Today, when I opened the door, out came flying Red closely by Newton who chased him all over. They made fly back to the door where I was and I closed it because I was so not getting put in the middle of that!

As for removing him for a bit, I think it will just resume if you do. I know my big boys go at it with my bantam boys when they get too close. They see each other almost every day, but territory is territory I guess.

I do that no matter what the weather is when my DH drives. He grew up on the Detroit side of the state and thinks he has to drive like Mario Andretti all the time. That's why I'm always the driver.

PMed you back, York. I typoed the number.
Have I mentioned that I'm old and my eye sight is failing? Not to mention that I'm on the old computer? Honestly, it's not my fault.

Farmerboy- YAY! Glad you got the pea back safely.
RIR- that's a cute photo.

Liking the pics of all the other chicks and such, too.
