. Your dad is funny. My dad would have went into some long overacted announcement about how wonderful dinner is going to be that night with a indepth description of the main course and all the sides. I am glad that she was found safe and sound.

I was going to start the coop cleaning process last night until the stupid bizzard started. BoOoo I really want to get the brooder area cleaned and quarantined off so I can start dreaming about chickies! I found a couple more eggs that had that mysterious "bullseye" in the yolk so I figure that Big Boy is making his having fun with some of the BR's now. lol

All of these chick pictures have sent my super powers in to critical failure. Even my DH has the fever. He asked me last night "Baby, when will Family Farm and Home have chicks?". He wants raise a couple of turkeys. He wants me to raise a couple of turkeys.

have to fess up, I just gave in, ordered 25 freedom range birds. thought I would like to try them rather then the cornish x

So does any one have a good-easy way to clean under the coop?? mine is 8'x16' and the chokes seem to love spending time under there summer and winter. by time I mean most of the day, if there is snow on the ground, even though I have a nice 10'x12' covered area inside the run. silly birds

Hi Mom2emAll!!! :) How've you been?!?! I suppose I'll just have to get over it and start hanging out on here again ;)
my incubator has a handful of silkie eggs in it that are due to hatch in a couple days... yayee! Last year my incubator had been running full force from January until chickenstock so this is a little change in pace this year with the silkies. My goal this year is to make a couple small chicken tractors to seperate out the colors so I can control my hatches a bit more color-wise....hoping to have some splash chicks with me at ChickenStock! I'm also shooting to pair up the right ones to get some splash showgirls too....woohoo!

*hands over eyes* lalalalalalalalalalala Im not listening...I mean, Im not looking...
Heres an idea...put those cute bunnies next to the showgirls and torture me more....lalalalalalalala...

O have I got a deal for you- did you see the picture I posted? Showgirl NOTs~ turken silkie crosses that are white with black splash.Normal feathers,.dark legs, some with pink necks, some with dark necks...cutest things ever...just ask RaZ....and I will let you have ALL four..yeppers..great deal.. I'll give them to you just because you are my friend...

I quacked up.

Another morning is underway and it is going to be a great day. We just mad it through quite a scare yesterday. Hope's oldest son's wife is expecting twin and is due the first part of April. She was carrying some things down their basement stairs and 3 steps from the bottom mis-stepped and fell. She fell forward and landed on her hands spraining her wrists. However, the biggest concern was fetal detachment. After a 24 hour stay at Motts Childrens & Womans Hospital in Ann Arbor with a monitor on each baby she was allowed to go home. At this point both babies seem fine.

Im glad she is okay, Opa. Scary stuff. I tripped and fell down the stairs when I was nine months pregnant with my middle kid. Landed on my belly and bounced. Thought for sure I had killed her.
Two babies- how exciting and how scary. Have you all gotten her two of everything? Do you know if they are girls/boys or one of each?

I did the belly fall on ice when I was 8 months with Aiden. I was so scared... I wonder if that's how he got tangled in his cord.... Well anyway, had to go to the birthing center because 2 days later I noticed he hadn't been moving. He was fine. No distress. Apparently, from what the told me, was if you are going to fall, not that you want to, it is worse to land on your back than it is on your tummy, because you usually put your hands out, slows the momentum... But boy... Scary stuff. I am glad your grand-twins are ok. I am sorry to hear your Dil sprained her wrists.

RaZ, what flavor/flower honey? Also, I am going to guess 10 ducks. So exciting! I love watching my ducks.... Hate cleaning up after them. Lol.

Opa, I am glad she is ok. I will pray that the rest of her pregnancy will go smoothly.

Jen, your daughter just gets prettier and prettier. How is the little guy? Probably not so little anymore.

Raz, did you get 32?

snowflake, I had thought about getting the freedom rangers but since I have the dual purpose breeds I won't. Let me know how you like them. No more cornish x's here. DH does not like white meat and that is what they have a lot of.

Farmerboy, I glad your pea has been found and is home safe.

Sam, glad all is well. Wow! Twins! How exciting!!

Daron, glad your pea is home safe and sound.

Just got back from a date - I think the first time in months we have gone out. Tonight was 23 years since our first date back in high school. Time flies. Came home in a white out, with people driving 40 and DH having a fit because he drives it, plows it all winter and can't stand people going slow... I just close my eyes.

Can you gently remind him that his pushing others to drive faster (if he is tailgaiting?) makes them nervous and might cause them to have an accident when pushed out of their drving comfort zone?
