I always hope when I wish everyone a "good morning" that everyone knows they are included.

I know you do, Opa!!

Poor little Milo can't make that jump.

Dakota, and Nikita. Nikita passed a few months back. She got too old to get to her bed on the floor, poor ol girl.

My DH drove out to check on the chickens around midnighton Saturday night and got his 4 wheel drive truck stuck. Me thinks he just wanted to play in the mud. He had to pull it out with my Suburban. Both vehicles totally covered in mud. No time to clean it off before the wrestling tournament on Sunday. We looked so silly white suburban covered in mud with 8 people filing out like a clown car.

Occasionally I will allow my lab in the house, especially when it gets cold. She would be a good house dog, cause she minds so well....but she has this "puking" disorder so I won't allow her in past the laundry room/kitchen. (linoleum floors clean up better than carpet) occasionally as we are just getting comfortable in bed "Honey-Behr" will have made her way into our bedroom and jump up in bed with us. Not a lot of room for us and a 80 lb. lab.

I take her back out to the laundry room where she looks at me like she just got beat.....those big black puppy dog eyes do tear away at my soft spot.....but she doesn't get her way.

Yeah....loving looks.

Speaking of speaking with the "look" My dad was a master of the "look" you knew you were in trouble, or you were needed to do something, or don't speak a word.....I swear he had/has a way of communicating with just his eyes and a look of a certain way.

Good Morning!
I guess I shouldn't feel like the only one that can't hatch baby chicks.

So far we have only gotten 9 chicks out of 41. We don't plan to give up though. How long should you wait after the initial hatching time, before you toss out the eggs that are left?

It is so exasperating when I have been looking forward to all the little fuzzies.

Opa glad you have such a good friend to go with you. It should be fairly decent weather for you to go. God be with you!
I let our chickens out today and one batch has their very own swimming pool!! I tried to see if there was a way to drain the water and they are right in the middle of a big depression. Guess we made a bad choice of a pen. Don't know where we could move them to .
My silkie Mom and 3 babies are doing just fine. They grow so fast.

I fuss with them every day and so does my hubby. He is getting more interested in them.
Hope you all have a great day!

I never used the look. I would just snap my fingers and the boys would know they were doing something I didn't approve of. Several years ago my oldest son called and ask for me to snap my fingers. I did and he said now listen to me snapping my fingers. When I inquired what was going on he said he couldn't understand why since the two finger snapping sounds were the same, why didn't it work with Morgan as it had with him.

opa good safe travels

Raised with two brothers my dad had a look( still got it when we all get together) but also had a finger snap. We must have been hardheaded.

Thanks for the help with chicks. Changed position of brooder in the house and every one is more active, eating more and all around happier and healthy.
