Fred!!

What an beautiful day it was. Had lunch with my two daughters and son. Then my one daughter and I ( the other two had to go back to work) took a long walk on the River Walk in Lansing. It was a long walk. We were enjoying it so much, we forgot we had to walk back!

Can't believe how hot it got. I was sweating... in March!! Hope you all got to enjoy the day.

Oh, Nova, I'd take 3, too.

Hmmm. DH is away rest of this week and all of next, watching his stepsister's kids for her while she recovers from her surgery. I always want quiet, but when i actually get it... Don't worry i get to join in on the fun cause i get to chauffeur them to and from their 3 respective schools

Worked on mulching my little flower bed again, and pulling most of the leaves out of the camper.

Getting hot and stinky in there, so back to mopping for me. So can't wait for DH to get back so we can start on the run so i can try to throw some grass/wild flower seed down for the yard in front of the camper coop.
Heat caught me too soon. Think it's too late to try another rose cutting? I am thinking about boiling a little willow branch and using the water to root. i read that willows have natural rooting hormones? Does this sound right to anyone?

Juise...I could just see my kids doing the exact same thing. As soon as you get one mess cleaned up, another one is waiting for you, and in the end, the project you started out on, just turns into a mess as well! I think I told you before, I have 5 yr old twins and an 18 mo. old. They are always right in the way trying to see what daddy is doing. I was working on the tractor in the barn this morning...we have huge mud puddles by the entry to the barn that we had told the twins to stay away from, so of course they were getting into some other mischief and Ian (the baby) fell into the mud puddle. Mommy loves it when I bring the kids in wet and covered in mud!

You told 5 year olds to stay out of a mud puddle, and they did? I don't believe you!

Just kidding, my 4 year old does generally listen, really, although I will admit that I am probably more liable to jump in a mud puddle with them than tell then to stay away from it, lol. The egg shouldn't have been a big deal except that I was so frustrated already. And I just felt dumb when it came to the little one, of course she'd get into the paint first chance she got. They just weren't near me when I set down the lid and extra brush, so I didn't take care to make sure they were out of reach. I had warned them off of the coop area this last week while I was digging it all out and they actually did a good job of staying well away on the playground while I did that, as long as I let them know when it was time to move the Gator, lol. I don't think any of it would have been so stressful if I hadn't been so dog gone exhausted by then.

Is your tractor working now, then?

After reading the posts about adventures with kids, I was suddenly grateful that my baby is 40 years old.

Wait, what happened to our invitation to send them over?

Hey rbhamer,

I have black copper marans eggs, wanna swap for a few? Oh, ....is that allowed? Or does it break forum rules. I'm not sure. If not send Me a pm

Ugh! I hate fox. They're so cute and fuzzy...till they're hauling away your daughter's favorite chicky to feed to her kits. I lost my whole flock last year to a thieving fox. Love free ranging my birds, but now with this awesome warm weather,.feverishly building a pen for them. I use the term flock loosly, I only had 6 birds....all my husband would allow me to have at the time. Poor guy, just wait till my bator full of chickys hatch in a couple weeks...mmmuuuuhahahahaha!

My internal alarm woke me and I thought, Cool. I need to go catch a couple of more birds to add to the ones caged last night. I have to have them at the processor at 7am so this is will work out great. Put the coffee on, let the dog out, then glanced again at my watch. 430am! That's an hour too early. Oh well, the coffee is finished so I might as well start my day.
