Go with the big bags, whichever one you decide on. Personally, I elected to go with the non-medicated feed. Dumor is made by Purina, if I remember correctly. Just a side note, when I worked at Ford, I had a discussion with a guy to tried to tell me that Expeditions and Navigators were different trucks made in separate factories. Never mid the fact that I was the Final Assembly Engineer for that product line.Starting to think about feed for my chicks coming in a few more weeks. Those of you that are familiar w/ TSC - they basically carry two brands of feed. Dumor and Purena. Any endorsements or cautions of either one? Planning on 15 chicks. Will I need a 50# bag of starter? I know they say to feed starter for 4-8 weeks. Do they need the medicated starter for that long or should I just get a small bag of medicated starter followed by regular unmedicated starter? I am not aware of any feed mills near me, otherwise I would probably go that route. I think they have one down by Monroe, but for now, I think I will be going the convenient TSC route. Thanks.
The ducklings were fully feathered before they went outside, can't say what their BMI is though. I've checked on them several times during the day and night and they are not clustered around the heat lamp but it is warmer in the garage than outside. They are also eating well judging from how fast the food bowl gets emptied.Or if they are too young to have enough fat and feathers for body heat, so they are staying where it is a few degrees warmer?
