Sarah, Angela B shared the idea of putting cardboard under her roosts and then just tossing those disposable poop boards. I actually used some newspaper. So each day I would take the newspaper and throw it out with all the poop on it. Just another idea.
That is a good idea too, I'll keep that in mind. Might be easier with my set up too, we'll see. I plan to do some engineering this weekend to finish it up, haha

RIRJen I didn't see were anyone had caught this post and replied...
thanks jen! I am just doing the wait and see, this is my first time. I am hoping if the eggs are bad she'll know, and push them out. I'm gonna candle them just in case in a few days.

I wanted lots of ventilation to dry it, and i didn't want them to try and roost on it.

Nankin setting on three eggs now. She was kicked off the nest box yesterday so I moved her into a kennel. Scooped her up bedding, eggs and all and moved her. She now has food and water nearby, though she dumped it in the afternoon. Only one corner of bedding was wet so I left her AS IS so as not to disturb her further. This moring another Nankin had claimed two large eggs, I took them away though.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties some are having with phyical stuff. I have had a cough for a couple weeks but that pales in comparison.

We are registered for Alma as well. It would be nice to meet you, MSue and RIRJen. Name tag with our handle? Whatcha thing? Last year it was sooooo cold I hid most of the day in the van. We will be ready this year for whatever weather comes. Anyone going bringing ducks to sell. I need a friend for my one year old male penciled runner.

I can understand the desire to be wealthy, a something like the lottery certainly fuels the dream. I can't understand how some people can spend as much money gambling or on lotteries. Where I bought a single ticket several folks were spending several hundred. When you go to a casino and see how they are appointed doesn't common sense tell you that it took a lot of money to create. Wouldn't it follow the many more folks lose than win.

I think the best way to double your money would be to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I had just started digging a hole for Granny's flag pole when it started to rain. Now it is raining hard enough to strangle a frog.

I agree. Really the only time I gamble is sometimes buying a 1$ scratch off ticket for fun. If I win 5$, cool! If not, I'm out a single dollar. I'm not much of a risk taker. Though a casino is ten minutes away from me. I went in with 20$ once for the slot machines. If I lost it, at least I had a good time. I'd spend no more than that 20$ though. I guess I was lucky since I walked out with 40$, which was fun! But 99% of the time, the house wins, or else casinos wouldn't exist.

At the risk of being too philosophical (and I'm certainly not defending the behavior and agree with your "folding it in half" comment) I sometimes wonder if the lottery or gambling is the only source of hope in some people's lives. And "all" they have to risk to get it is a few dollars. But, admittedly, that mindset is a bit like chasing your tail.

Good luck on the pole!

Thank you Nova. It's encouraging when people say that because I have Macular degeneration, and I'm never sure that what I see and paint is what is really there. (My perceptions are WAAAAY off!)

Kids happened to me too, so I encourage everyone/anyone to "TRY" and fit these things into their lives while they can. I wish I'd kept doing it while raising kids. I think of all the time I didn't paint and how much better I would be now if I'd kept at it.

Monet probably also had Macular Degeneration, and developed a whole new school of painting

Good morning

I haen't been on much lately, been having a hard time lifewise (see Family thread) but I thought I'd pop in for a quick hello. Really glad that we had such a warm March. Wish yesterday had been as nice. I'm on spring break as of today and looking forward to having over a week off.

Sorry to hear you have been having problems, MW -
