One of my cats brought home a ferret or weasel several years ago, it was chocolate colored with a white patch on it's chest. Not very big, not sure it was young, or they are that small, but that was before we had chickens. Thankfully we haven't had any probems, yet, since we have had chickens. I am hoping the cats keep them at bay. Man I miss that old cat, he was the best hunter ever!!

Welcome. Glad you found us. This thread is a lot of fun. Where in Livingston county are you.

MJ - So sorry to hear of the loss. We've been there too, although not that many at once! Get that varmit!! RIP calls.

The weather was nice enough Saturday to get out for a bit and the kids enjoyed it. Here is Raigan with our only Polish. She felt sorry for her so we actually trimmed her head feathers so she could see too.

And here is our cat checking out the barred rock or vice versa.

Who here just had kittens?? I remember seeing the post, but don't remember who it was.

And what is this nonsense about "chickie mama" meet-ups? STEVE - we are being discriminated against. We must stop that, although I fear we are very out-numbered.

Not all that far from you actually. I'm in between Fowlerville, and Webberville. Conway Township. We just moved here last summer, I'm still learning the area. We are a little closer to Webberville than Fowlerville.

We have a cat who is now 18 years old. He's been with me thru several states over the years. Last summer we didn't think he would make it thru the move. Apparently, there is something in the air here, because he is acting like a young kitten again

I'm not really familiar at all with the beaches in RI, I have seen a few of those houses in Newport though.

Over here on the Alpena side of MI I only saw about an inch of snow last night, lots of sleet though, made the drive home from the in-laws a bit hairy last night.

39 and sunny right now.

Hi all-
Keleka the kittens are in litchfield and I will deliver- She was a winter rescue that came primed. She will be fixed asap.
Nine cats 4 dogs and 35 chickens( of various ages) is about got me to the limit.

mj- sorry to hear about the loss. Good hunting on the guilty one.

Topless chick looks about ready for the grill which is reason for men to get together (insert grunting)

Newport is too crowded for my taste. Too many tourists

We still have a little bit of snow on the roofs and ground, but it's mostly gone now. It is sunny now. It was VERY windy last night. The night before we heard the tornado sirens going off also.
