I suggested we ought to build them their own higher deck then with the old deck boards he pulled up and have been sitting in the side yard for 2 years now. I think he's thinking about it.

I never left it on more than a hour a day and after a week the metacarpal section refolded into the proper form.

Mom2 - Would bringing your plants to CS be a problem for you? Are you going to have enough room with all the uggos you'll be bringing back?

Gonna go mow. It was/is so quiet here today. I miss them loud mouths. I do not miss the fighting over the hens though, especially since it was just a particular few... I haven't seen Fia today, which is odd. I think she's hiding somewhere. Poor girl was stressed the most. They all just loved her... Loved her bald. Poor baby. Well at least now there is a chance for her back feathers to grow back in. Yeah!

Anyway. Kids have gone to the movies with dad, so, time to get more stuff done...

Wow, beauties! Increasing your flock? I thought you were cutting back? So, I got rid of my two BR roos and guess what, a week later I hear crowing and there's a (maybe 6 month old) Buff Brahma Roo pacing back and forth by my hen house, and crowing to beat the band. Now he won't leave. I'm putting out a sign "Found Rooster" and I hope someone claims him. As it is 5 of my new 10 "pullets" are turing into freezer camp roos!

I am cutting back, at least I will be down to one rooster so one pen and coop to keep up with. Any and all cockerals will be invited to dinner. I wonder if the Buff Brahma was a drop off??

If the little brown one comes up missing, do not come looking here.

I promise that if it comes up missing it will be a cockeral. If it stays here it will be a girl.

Aw, that would make a nice duck house for my imaginary ducks I keep hoping my husband will give the OK on. lol (Actually, in regards to ducks, he has said "Do what you want, as long as I have nothing to do with them" - but I'm *trying* to respect the fact that he really isn't thrilled with the idea. Trying... lol.

What started as a simple chicken swap has turned into a party.

Just so you know - I'm not staying. lol. I have to help my mom make Strawberry Jam on Sunday (she's in Livonia), so I'll just swing out for a quick visit around 2:30/3 - or whenever everyone expects to be there... (Can you PM me your address?)

I have an orange/yellow (with a few red dots) doitsu KOI fish that needs a home, his scale lines means hes a "Kagami-goi (mirror carp),." About 18" All the special names and he's probably just an orange mutt of a fish! LOL! Will eat from your hand! May be spoken for already... man you guys don't miss a beat!!

Also have a (I think) featherfin squeaker, cat fish. He's about 6" so would have to be in an aquarium with larger fish (they will eat what ever fits in their mouths)! He lives with the KOI, but could not be wintered outside.

I also have a 130 gallon fish tank (could be saltwater) with oak stand/lid for sale. (and you could take the Koi and cat in it for free) tank has a small chip in the corner and some minor scratches from the previous owner, but they don't really show w/water. The stand could use a refinishing but it's not bad... The only thing it really needs are new glass covers on top (3). Comes with a basic water filtration system... nothing special. Other parts and stuff would go with it.
