Well, got the coop and run cleaned... Changed out the nest boxes and re-arranged them. I threw Shehsheh out of the nest house. She was sitting on 2 eggs and making a god awful racket any time any of the other hens would try and get in there. Took her stolen eggs and gave her a chuck. Didn't even faze her. She just went on about her witching, then she spotted the apple and no more thoughts were given to sitting.

I think the other GLW I picked up from FFH is also a cockerel. UGH! SO, out of 4 wyandottes, 3 were boys. Oh well... I guess maybe I will invest in a chicken cook book.

Olive brings up a very good point, liability. I wouldn't advise anyone to hold it on their property. Also I don't think advertising our picnic on Craiglist or any other site is a good idea. We want the folks that are involved with us on BYC. You'll have people coming just to get a free lunch.

Mine is a 96 Electra Glide. Lots of chrome and go fast goodies. I do like the fairing on long trips, especially if you run into liquid sunshine.

There is absolutely no reason that we couldn't have both a spring and a fall Chickenstock.

This year was our 4th year and it was the first time we had a donation jar to try to recoop some of the costs. While it didn't quite meet the expense it was close and no one need feel bad. I think I didn't place it in a visible enough location, plus I should have announced it on line.

I missed the donation jar as well.

I would certainly attend a fall one regardless of location. I believe that was one of the best days of my life and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Being a SE Michigan troll, I never even considered it "up North" until I reached West Branch. How about something there? Maybe even as far as Gaylord?

lol, I love it when people ask for directions to my house and ask which exit # to get off at and I have to tell them that I have absolutely no clue, I've lived here forever and never looked at the number, mapquest it

I too think it should be members only, no need to invite strangers when we can split the cost ourselves.
