Is it a roo because of the white chest? I also got a SS from chickenstock. I have no idea if its a roo or not. I was thinking it might be because of the tail... But I can't really tell from the comb... I am going to go catch that little sucker soon. They totally freak out at me still. HEHE, unless I am giving them something.

Some one decided that my green peppers would look better in their hands than on my plants. I had several that were getting good sized and now they are gone. The idiots who stole them didn't even wait for them to change color. I have red, yellow, orange and green. They were all still green... The only plant that is not growing any peppers yet is one that got broke off at the top, and is just now starting to flower. That one is also a green. Stupid SOB. Well anyway, I can't believe it. I knew that sooner or later some one would raid it. I should ask the neighbor how theirs are faring up front on their side. So annoying. I wish I could plant in back. I am going to have to do something before next year, even if I have to do it all greenhouse style. GAH! I guess they needed it more than me. I was so happy with them too. Last year I just got these challenged peppers cuz I grew them in pots. They didn't do well in pots, I did something wrong. SO this year I did it in the raised bed, and they are wonderful. I mean were....

There is a known reason, the genetic mutation mdr1-1∆.

RB's "luck" could have been from a couple of things.

1) From what I can find the mutation has never been found in Border Collies in the U.S.

2) The mutation only reduces the dog's tolerance of avermectins. Any dog can have a fatal reaction, dogs with this genetic marker are simply likely to have it at a lower dose than those without it. The proper dose is not sufficient to elicit a fatal reaction in any dog, marker or not, but because people often administer the wrong dosing they're more likely to OD a dog with mdr1-1∆. Herding dogs are not the only ones who has been found to have the mutation either, though they make up the bulk, some hounds have also been identified.

Well, I guess my vet(s) should go back to school then

Ya know TC, well actually, you don't, so I will tell you. You look a lot like an old acquaintance's mother, Audrey DeHaan... Which I understand means the chicken... Anyway, you gals could be sisters.

If there is one thing about using the "real" computer, it is that it doesn't auto correct... And another, so I guess two things, is that it makes me have to use the spell check a lot more often. Sheesh. Well at least it doesn't change cockerel to offensive, albeit, crack up funny, naughty words. I swear, I was in tears laughing so hard when Olive quoted me...

Most vets cannot / do not keep up on all the changes that are constantly taking place in their industry. Most horse vets, for instance, still recommend standard rotational de-worming and we've know that's both ineffective and leads to parasite resistance for decades.

I am telling you, I nearly peed myself laughing so hard! When I use the touch pad, its not like regular keyboard, so instead of looking at the screen when I type, like right now, I look at the little on-screen keypad so I don't hit the wrong letters. It is one hand/finger typing. Then I hit submit, and don't think about reading through again when I have just written. LOL. Some one was telling me that I can turn off the AC, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I looked in the settings last night, and the only thing it has in there is the "Just Type" app, I know it has to be in the settings for that, but what the heck. I'll just leave it alone. I'd be my luck I'd screw something else up. And why kill every ones entertainment
