Thanks guys, your complements are humbling and much appreciated. Knowing that JD is picking the winner... makes me want to squeeeeee totally out of character!!

Silly- I hope that you win!

Nova- I love reading your posts, it makes me smile, however I didn't catch the bad word. Which is a good thing. :p

Nova, if you turn off the autocorrect we can all laugh at your misspellings. That could be even MORE fun. LOL!

Surprise! My goats and I found an underground bumblebee nest in the goat pasture. How? Because of the sting wounds we are all nursing. And unlike a honeybee, the stinger of bumblebees lacks barbs, so they can sting you until they get bored (or you GTFO of the area).

It happened pretty quickly. One moment I was working on clicker training the crew, and the next we have bumblebees attached to all of us! My poor doeling Suzie took several hits to the face. So we all got outta there, took them to the barn and observed them for a good thirty minutes to make sure nobody was reacting badly (yes I know anaplalaxis would happen pretty quickly, but like if Suzie had some slower swelling around her face developing, that could also cause breathing problems).

The plus side of keeping honeybees meant that I could then suit up and dig up the offending nest. I really did feel bad about that, since bumblebees are such important pollinators (they can pollinate through buzz pollination, a mechanism honeybees cannot do). But it was literally in the middle of my 70 x 70 foot goat pasture. I had no idea how it hadn't been found or been a problem before. I do have some cool pictures to download of the nest, though! I did dispatch the queen, so she didn't try and rebuild her destroyed nest...

Maybe so Olive, but, I don't misspell to often. However, the AC on the touch pad converts words that are not misspelled, but are not used in everyday conversation. I added to word cockerel to the TP's dictionary. After all, we can't have effers being used in everyday conversation on here, even if I am talking about cockerels.

Has anyone heard from Sam? I know its busy times for a lot of people, but lately he's been MIA more often.
