Fuzzy, it is called an egg skelter, and it isn't sold in the U.S. yet.

It is £22.90, so it will probably be near enough $40 when it gets here, yikes!

Does anyone know of a waterer that WON'T get wood chips in it? I have a really nice brooder box on the porch with a waterer that I have to clean out the trough at least 10-15 times a day. I tried putting it on a plate so it's not directly on the floor of the box but that doesn't make a difference. I think those little buggers like seeing me get ticked off when I have to stop and clean it out again on my way out the door. Sometimes it happens so often I'm ready to throw them in one of the duck pools which is still cleaner than that ****** waterer!!

The ones that are sealed and have water nipples on the bottom. Some are 5 gallon and hang. Nothing gets in them.

On second thought - not for chicks in a brooder. I just put mine on pieces of 2x6 and increase the blocks as they grow.

I'm already worried that I have fertilized eggs. That is why they are in the fridge or skillet.
Still, the dumb Uggo is sitting on golf balls and keeping the other hens away.
