Awwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! I've always wanted a black one too!!! Holland is about 2 hours from me. I know because my family were the first ones to settle there eons ago and I have family all over. My grandma lived there for 91 years. I could drive that trip blindfolded lol

Thanks anyway!!!

I have always wanted to learn how to blow out eggs. I wish we had done our first...but that was forever ago now lol.

I guess I could get on YouTube and learn how to do that there too.
We have our kids blow out the eggs we dye for Easter every year. It causes such fits of side splitting giggling. It's pretty easy to do as long as you're gentle about it.

I hear people talk about it all the time. Now I really want to learn how to do it! Lord knows we get PLENTY of eggs lol

Especially all the bantam eggs. All of our eggs are not available for sale for a while anyway due to the antibiotics we gave everyone.

fine... be that way. LOL. Could you make a partial trip? Maybe we could figure out a pass off till they got up to you?
Believe me I wish I could make it back to Holland, I haven't been there since we moved my grandma down here (she died last year at 93). This past Saturday we went to Williamston (about 35 miles) for my 25th class reunion and I felt like I was going on vacation lol. Between poor finances for gas and most importantly vehicles that can't make long trips I'm always stuck at home.

Hi Rusty,
Since we don't know what was wrong with your little roo, it is hard to treat the others who are in with him. I don't know what to tell you because it's best not to antibiotic everyone just because one bird died. Do any of the other chicks have any other symptoms? If not, I would wait until they did.
I am thinking it was a respiratory thing. I had held him for a few minute's beak pointing towards the floor and mucus was running out. Had to wipe his nose several times. For awhile I thought he was picking up. And no his siblings are not showing any signs of anything yet. I can't believe how fast this bug took him.

I'll go with you. So you can have some company on the ride. I need a ride in a convertible. Than no one would know I am having a bad hair day!

hahaha my car isn't trustworthy to make the trip. It's 20 years old and still needs a few parts replaced. I won't take the truck because it DESPERATELY needs new tires. Well, we have the tires but not the money to have them put on the rims and the wheel alignment so it has to sit. Plus there's the gas money factor too. It would take $80-100 in the truck since it gets about 16mpg now!

I could use a road trip though. Plus I LOVE Holland. My sister lived between Holland and Saugatuck (I was born in Douglas...yeah most people have never heard of it lol) where she had a huge ranch. It's where I got most of my experience with farm animals.
