Afternoon! Just went to TSC in Mt. Pleasant. They had Golden Comets for .50/a piece, Meaties for 1.00/a piece and another bin of mixed (maybe BR and RIR) for 1.25/a piece. I was very tempted by the Meaties but did resist the urge to buy. I had just spent enough money on flowers at the stop before TSC. Sounded like a good deal to me, though! Maybe I can tempt some others!

well just got done with some production line cooking. I've got all 7 kids for the weekend. It was about every 4 minutes pulling mexican pizza's out of the oven, get it sliced and distributed before my timer went off again. Throw a new pizza in oven, slice up and serve another, and repeat a bunch of times.

Sometimes its frustrating cooking for 9-10 people a night, but I don't do dishes

ohhhh Vicki...a lovely little chocolate muscovy has hatched here! the others made it to about a few days until hatch. it is BEAUTIFUL! i thank you!

I admit it. I've got chickenitis in a bad way. I've got 40 birds and will be putting eggs in the incubator next week. Not only that I think I spoil my birds. All winter I would buy heads of cabbage for them so they would be deprived of greens. Today I took the next big step in bird spoiling. I order electric poultry netting from Premier 1 Fence Company. They have a poultry netting that is 164' long and is easily moveable. Now I can move the girls to different areas in the yard to get a little closer to a free range situtation. You must admit that for a man who only wanted 3 or 4 hens that is evidence of a severe case of chickenitis.

What a great day today!

MJ-Everyone here is great! Thanks for asking! We grilled out again tonight, I love it! Saves me some work in making dinner.

I have to agree it is going to get worse before it gets better.

Ok, I am off to tuck the chickens in.

Gotta get to bed early so we can hit the garage sales hard in the morning!

i have a white quail that just popped out!!! it is so small and pretty! it's so tiny! ooooh! Crystal! why didn't you warn me white quail would be so beautiful!

I can't believe how addicting chickens are! I was going to get 6 or 8 at the most, and I honestly couldn't see myself even owning 8 chickens. But, now I have 50 chicks and a few ducklings

. But, don't worry I'm not keeping all of them....yeah right

. They're just so much fun! And it doesn't help that I can come to BYC and find thousands of people who feel the same way and keep encouraging me
