I just HAD to pop in HERE! Port Huron here! Hi to ALL.....I am NEW here. My hubby and I got our 5 girls the first week of May this year. WE LOVE THEM!

It's so nice to have this BB to go to for help, advice...whatever.

Anyway...Good MONDAY morning to all.

QUESTION? ANYONE here had to invoke the "Michigan right to farm act" yet? We are hoping we don't get "caught" with our girls but know it will be OK because of that law.

Just wondering.....shutting UP now.

My daughter's open house went wonderfully, we had a great turn out, no major problems, and as wonderful as it was, I am glad it is over, so I can relax!!

Hello everyone! Haven't been on in a while, at least to post anyway. We took the family camping at Wolverine Lk Campground this past weekend. Thought I would update my avatar with a pic from camping. Those are my two wonderful little chillin's. My son is 10 and my daughter is 7. My daughter has started to show a real love for all our chicken-butts. My son, he doesn't however. After the first 5 minutes he's moved on to other things

I have a silky mix who one day decides she wants to be broody and then the next she doesn't. She likes to steal everyone elses eggs too. Only problem is they aren't fertilized either so I hate to waste them. I let her sit on one banty egg for a week only to have her abandon it. Maybe she's just not ready???

As far as keeping them cool I just provide them a lean to so they can get out of the sun and be in the shade.

fill 2 liters or milk jugs with water and freeze them. place in coop. they will hang around them like air conditioners!

misting them a bit during heat waves can be helpful.

good ventilation, shade, which you have maximum of! your set up is going be just perfect Briana!
