[Hillbilly Hen]

When I got home from getting groceries yesterday my DH said this chicken was running circles around Kodi. She was trying to keep away from the BR roo that was hoping to score. Anyway, Kodi just laid there as you can see. He is a good dog!

Wow that is amazing. I still don't completly trust Kodi. If the chicks ore free ranging then Kodi does not go out unless we are there to watch. My little dog , Pippin, however is only 9 lbs and I have to watch him because the chickens will chase him.

Wow, it seems to take forever to upload photos. Dh wanted me to post a couple. Anyway this is the last one.
We are being bombarded by the hummingbirds right now. There are always more of them in August. I am going through about a gallon of feed a day. DH finally got a close up pic of one. They are so fast it's hard to get a pic of them.

LMC, I rememeber seeing you at chickenstock but I don't remember if we talked. I was trying to meet everyone and talk to everyone but I know I didn't succeed. Is your Dh's name Gary? My DH was talking to a Gary and he said he enjoyed talking to him and Boyd.
Oh, at least your cat is doing her job.

I didn't know he talked to Boyd! I didn't recognize him against his avatar. I'm so awful. Who is your DH? I'm trying to remember everyone he spoke to. He's so much more outgoing than me. I have a tendency to hide.

My DH's name is Bryan. He was wearing a straw hat. I don't think he talked to Boyd at the same time. Boyd was up by the pavallion cooking on the grill.
I am not usually very talkative either, although I am not as shy as I used to be. In the chickenstock photos I am wearing the red hat and DH is sitting next to me.

can i just say my kids are awesome. they all three just jumped in and started volunteering to do the chores!
also have been filling my water glass, bringing me cut up veggies and making sure i'm okay. they are just great. i'm so blessed.

thank you Sarah & CF. i am actually feeling a little better this evening. the fever seems to be letting up.

the kids just went to church and i'm just resting a bit. kind of weak but i have that 'i just want to feel like myself' feeling.

these kiddos are great. Hannah made me a lovely salad for supper and none of them fussed or fought during the day. they were great. i'll have to think of a special reward for them as a thank you for going the extra mile.
