Evening all,
Wow what a day. Sister in law is already back from Florida, she flew in today and is here to stay. My sister has taken her under her wing. My brother in law is also here visiting from Harrison for the weekend. DH took the day off from work today and we have been working almost all day trying to get our deck weatherproofed. It has never been done and seems to be taking forever. Hopefully we will finish tomorrow. I also have tomatoes that are waiting for me to process and can.
Glad to hear that Opa is trying to keep up, I am having trouble just keeping up with myself.

I will have to pass the info on to DH about the wild pigs , thanks Boyd.
We used to raise pigs every summer, just seems a waste since it's just the two of us. They were very easy to raise.

I can see it now, a bunch of BYC'ers with the "Chilling with my peeps" shirts on walking through the woods!!

I went out with DH and BIL in Florida, it was fun. Used to hunt a lot as a kid and before I had kids. Harder to do now, but Dh wants me to start going out with him again.

Looks like quite a few in Washtenaw Co. unfortunatly I don't know anyone with property there to hunt on. Lenawee Co. would be doable for us. My husband usually hunts during bow or gun season for deer in Lenawee with his friend. Maybe he will see one.

I watched the video from when my dad went pig hunting.

the stalk was perfect, he picked out his boar, with his ultra fancy bow that is like the best of the best of the best he takes a shot.... so perfect it punches right through the vital organs and the arrow is sticking out both sides.....

He climbs faster than I've ever seen my old man move while that hog ripped the bark off the bottom of the tree trying to get to him

It was pretty funny video despite the fact the pig did die from the shot.... because the 2nd person it went after was my uncle who was filming. We saw the camera focusing on the ground, the trees, up to the sky and then back to the ground with lots of made up swear words being thrown around. I asked them what happened there and thats when they told me My uncle was climbing the tree.

My son wants to go hunting these guys with me, but........... we'll see

Just thought I would stop by and say hello! I am loving this great fall weather. The leaves are already falling. I am in the mood of doing all things autum LOL! I am doing well. Denise had to have her busband put down one of the golden comets she bought this spring. The hen had a prolasp vent. She tried very hard to save her but couldn't. I got to go.

I guess there aren't too many Irish fans, or maybe all the Irish fans are and have been watching the game. Pretty chilly tonight, fall is falling on us rapidly, looks like. I saw below freezing temps last night in Gaylord, Cadillac and Houghton Lake. Brrrrrrr!
