Olive, you might wanna talk to your dentist about a anti-grind plate to wear while you sleep? They offered me one but after my wisdom teeth were pulled, I didnt need it anymore.

When I had all 10 kids/teens here in the mid 80's the stress was horrible. And thinking back now, I dont know how I did it. Believe me, it will get better and you need to find some "alone" time for you to stay healthy. Once a month I would pamper myself without kids. IE hot bubble bath with some chocolate dipped strawberries and a nice lotion. Funny how an hour in the tub will make your day seem grand.

Make time for yourself. You have your plate over loaded.

Hope your visit to the new dentist is a pleasant one.

I'll ask about an anti-grind plate when I'm there, Oopsie! Thanks. I think I talked to them about it before and they told me if it got "worse" they'd do something but that my teeth didn't show too much wear from it??? Not sure how it can get worse than my jaw aching from it, but...

Olive, sorry for nark'n you out lol And no you are not whining, you just have a very full plate and need time to yourself once in a while is all.

Yeah I birthed one daughter and took in 9 others (all ages). 5 from one family. Seems back in the mid 80's people could have cared less for their children and just gave them away. One girl, I never met her mother. She contacted a lawyer, had the guardianship papers drawn up, mailed them to me and dropped her off in my drive. Never to be seen again. Very sad as she kept her son.

But you know, I would do it again in a heart beat. And since my husband passed away last year...been thinking about taking in troubled kids. As a farm is the best place to raise them in my opinion. Time will tell.

LOL Hillybilly. I call that a Freddy Kruger move!

What a wonderful thing you did for those kids!

I agree with you that a farm is a great place to raise kids, especially those that are troubled. There is always plenty of love to go around and never a shortage of ways to learn responsibility and accountability. Not to mention the friends they make when they get "into" farm life tend to keep them out of trouble for the most part. Serious trouble anyway.

Ooopsy - you are a saint!....people like you, that make a such a difference in so many's lives, are MAJOR unsung heros...heck we weren't sure that we even wanted to get a dog when our 2 girls were little.....much less 8 more kids!!!

Seriously, that is a major deal in my book...thanks for making such a difference.

Olive - my brother is a high school football coach...he has to wear a mouthpiece type thing to bed from about August till November...he started to wear the enamel off of a couple of his teeth!.....but it is all stress..he can tell when he needs to start wearing it cause his jaws get so sore.....

Good Evening!

The 3 chicks are all set up in their makeshift brooder in the garage/rec room.

The kids tv show is done so I am off to tuck them in. Have a good evening. Keep warm and dry!
