Hello and welcome Alan & Tina!

got all the feeding and watering done. two eggs already laid and no signs of anyone suffering from the cold, in fact, the ducks think they are in heaven.

here's to higher temps, All!

Went out and checked the the girls are none were frozen to the roost. Actually the temperature is 34 in the coop. They were out in the run a little while ago but now it's snowing and they've gone back in side. Monday is looking like a much better day. 22 and sunny.

I'm so jealous of those of you with no wind!

The wind here this morning is just horrendous...the worst it's been all week. I bundle up very well when I go out, but this morning is the FIRST time I've gotten cold this week while I've been out doing chores.

The weather says that it's going to begin warming up tonight into the 20's.

That sounds heavenly at this point. I don't think me nor the livestock could bear another week of this.

Thanks for the "warm" welcome everyone! We've got warmer weather coming -- eventually. I can't wait to get out and build some wooden things, like a chicken coop or two!

Welcome Alan and Tina

I'm just down M-50 a bit from you. My brothers graduated from Lake-O and had mom and dad not sold the farm and moved me into a different school district I would have graduated there as well...class of "76"

Chickflick I have some BBO's spoken for from MissPrissy, but I am looking for some more to fill the bator up a bit....whacha got?

I really thought today would be warmer but it isn't. Kid ended up not going ice fishing....said it was too cold when he got there....duh.

Friend's of mine farm outside of Woodland. Niethamers. Their kids went to Lakewood. Their daughter, Tonya teaches phys. ed there now. One of the daughters lives in Mulliken. I love that area! So pretty!

Hey Steve....had to get rid of my roosters cuz of mean neighbor.

So no fertile eggs here. Sorry. My coop was 17degrees. Frozen egg yesterday. It's a little warmer out there today, by 3 degrees. I hate winter!! It's snowing and blowing. I'm staying in and scrubbing my grout. Any one want to help?

I got all the housework inside done and now I am thinking I should head out and scoop up frozen poop and put more fresh bedding down. Maybe I can get DH to help....

He is not a huge fan of my pets. He does really enjoy the eggs...I think that means he has to help, right? Maybe I can put it off until tomorrow, it well be warmer then for sure.

Sheesh...3 months of hard core winter is really getting to me. I started going to the tanner a couple weeks ago just to get some bright, warm rays on my skin.
Feel like I have PMS all the time but that well dried up a long time ago if you know what I mean.
Its going to be one looooong winter my friends.
