leave it to Dolly, she hasn't laid any for a couple days in a row. probably because we have sold a lot of chickens and there are changes so she's holding back on me!!!

i sure will keep looking for one for you. if this is a pullet, you are more than welcome to it. and the new hatch might have some bantams, there are all different types in there right now.

I'm in agreement, what a beautiful day, sure seemed nice for a change.

After doing morning chores a friend from college and his wife came by after church. We went out to lunch and caught up......he then locked the keys in his Durango.

Had to call out a locksmith and then he was on his way, after I gave them a dozen eggs.

Must be something in the water....all 16 hens laid a egg again today.

Hope this warming trend stays.

Checking in....

Had a busy day.

Church service at 8:30am then teach Sunday school at 9:45am. Then ran 4 of the kids home to my Husband and turned around and went back to church to cook for a funeral dinner. Left church at 4:30pm to go to a Honduras meeting with my daughter Rachel. We leave in ONE week to go!!! Came home at 6:30pm.

Now the worst part of the whole day was this according to Rachel and I do agree with her. We cooked and smelled food all afternoon and left before the family was done eating so didnt get to eat any. We went to the Honduras meeting and since we got there late, we didn't eat (we always have a potluck) so we smelled all the food there. Then we came home expecting dinner leftovers....and there are none left!!! Jon deep fried chicken pieces and nuggets out of the breast. My 4 kids and my niece who was here, ate the whole chicken!!!!

So Rachel and my nutristous meals are as follows:
Breakfast: Pilsbury cinnamon rolls with milk to drink
Lunch: An apple and lemonade
Dinner: 2 bowls of Frosted Flakes

The younger kids just came out requesting a milkshake....that would top the day off huh?!?

The weather was great! Hope it lasts a while

Hi All,
Got to go out today and shovel some snow for my chickens. They were sure enjoying the day. Tried cleaning the snow from a few other places too. Hopefully we will get some more warm days.
HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!!! tomorrow. Hope we get an early spring.
My son and daughter in law came after the grandsons and showed me their wrecked van. The whole right side is smashed in. All the lights are broken. God willing they can fix it.

Mornin' All-
Where is everyone this mornin'? Kinda quiet around here, maybe everyone stayed up late watchin' the superbowl and drinkin' beer!

Got everyone out the door to school and work and now I get to play with little ones and catch up on laundry.

Sure hope the chickens can play outside alot again today, so much nicer when they can leave some of that poop outside! I did put their lights back on timers, I know not everyone agrees with it, but I am only getting a couple of eggs a day out of 15 layers.

You gotta remember...it is just a groundhog...it has a 50/50 chance of being wrong...and it has been wrong in the past. Plus it was sunny this morning...so of course it would see it

have a great day. off to get Leo the puppy in his kennel so we can start school.

Morning all! Just finished up a hatch of eggs, moved the fuzzy butts into a brooder. 6 for 6 on bantam white cochins, and 2 for 3 on sizzles. Not too bad, I don't think. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

OH YEAH....I got my first call duck egg today!

Now I have something else to incubate!
