Ok, this summer my dh and I will be taking trips on the weekends, just where can you buy 100 lbs of layer for 15 dollars, I spend 13 on 50 lbs, it would really be worth a trip to check this out. Plus I could meet MJ, maybe CAT, anyone on the way!! Gail

Better stop in the local elevator here in your travels.

That is my logic, Grammi! I figured it paid my gas back for the trip by buying there! It would be so much fun to meet up!

You have some very blessed hens, Steve!

Funny....blessed hens could also mean spoiled hens.

I knew people from Michigan could appreciate this. The frogs have started chirping out back in the low wet spot in our field. Spring is getting closer. Oh and I saw my first robin today!! I have spring fever so bad.

thanks, we never take a vacation here, but this year decided that we would go for rides on weekends, this is the first year we have been alone, we raised 6 kids, 2 grandkids, then also Dh mother lived with us, and then last year my father. We are a little lost, but are just beginning to enjoy some of the quiet!! I will let you know, Gail

besides, you need to make up for the 'flu experience'!

lard is just so much better for baking. light and airy! yum!

Here is the plan, get up and on the road by 8:00 a.m.... arrive between 10-10:30... admire MJ's cute coops and happy turkeys gobbling at you, step into the front door and be greeted by fresh bread smell and chicken soup bubbling, and lots of peeping. MJ's smile is even nicer in real life. Her kids are the best. (Hopefully there will be a few of us there as well ) Gab, gab, gab, eat, gab, go see all her pretty hens and turkeys. At some point go buy your gas money chicken feed, lol. Leave by 2, home by 5.... Drive through Little Ceaser's for 2 5 dollar pizzas.. Unload your car and kids, remove all chicks from your children's pockets... A great day and good memories! The only hard part will be unloading 100 lbs of feed!
