Good Morning All!

Exciting morning with baby chicks! Seems to me the eggs would be fine with the 2 broody hens. They are just sharing the duty

Hope everyone makes it to their appts and work and all of that good stuff!

Jon is now sick with the stomach bug. Sometimes men are worse than the kids when sick So the only ones who have not gotten it yet is my oldest 2 and myself. I hope we don't cause the 3 of us leave tomorrow to head upnorth for a 4-h competition.

Off to check on the kids. They enjoyed muffins this morning and now Diego is on for the boys.

one in the incubator is zipping....

I had to come on here really fast and tell you about my blonde moment.

I am very frustrated with the humidity in the incubator. It was 38%...i added a wet washcloth, waited a couple hours- still 38%, added another wet- dripping wet-cloth...38%.

...so now, I just said- what is this cord on the table, oh...its the probe for the humidity gauge...not inside the incubator..stuck it in one of the top holes of the 'bator. Humidity 68%...

GOOD MORNING MICHIGAN!

Well, yesterday I picked up some pallets to start my coop...I didn't get very far because it was getting cold and dark but I did get some time to play around with the pallets and decide how I want to go about it. I found a good one that was nice fresh wood and it's 4ft x 8ft! That is my floor. I took pictures so I can show my progress but I'll post those later.

Right now I have a coop floor done by placing 1/2 inch plywood over the 4ft x 8ft pallet...my daughter...she thinks it's her dance stage.

I told her she can use it for now but mommy has other plans. So anyways I think I'm going to need more plywood then I had originally planned but I suppose that's ok. The pallets are going to make a great start to my awesome coop

Anywho, I guess I'll post some pics later if I get the chance!

Hey Jenny, we are all set for Saturday!!! Babette is in!! I am delivering eggs and picking up a bunny!!

That is all separate from the sale!! Good thing we are taking your truck!!

Hi everyone,
I went to check out a lady that lives close to me that advertised chicks for sale on craigs list last night. It was my first time seeing cochins, silkies old english and FRIZZLES!! OMG! I am in love.
I almost have hubby talked into a few lil' banty frizzles and silkies. I always said I would never have anything but standard size...but they just steal your heart!!! They are not old enough for me to tell if they are pullets or cockerals yet, yhey are about 2 weeks old. But on the standard sizes now I have to have some of the cochens!

Good afternoon everyone. Winter is having a last gasp today, not even 27 degrees! But at least it's only flurrying. Spring arrives officially tomorrow!
