I'm definitely considering it, Jackson isn't too far ... hubby has a friend with a friend with a 'bator so he's still thinking about that route, if the other hen that was broody doesn't cooperate either.

I don't get it ... we had a heck of a time trying to get a couple of hens to STOP being broody last year, no sooner do I buy some eggs than the brat just up and says, never mind, false alarm, don't mind my big bald spot! *arrgh*

I had some strawberries in long planter boxes one year...... they didn't make it through the winter though

I think they were not protected enough. But other than that.... I have no other input

Been having a heck of a time with Strawberries myself

Buttercup, we could also send the chicks back via me and Cathy too. i think our kids will be having a sleep over soon, and it might work perfectly! or we will just make an excuse to go to Cat's house anyway, so we can get them to you!

Happy Friday!

We are back from the dr. he said DS has fluid behind his eardrums. They can't do anything for it and it can take 6 to 8 weeks to clear up. The dr. also said that he can't hear very well at all with all that fluid. Sounds like a good excuse for him to not "hear" his mom to me

Poor kid, I really do feel bad for him. Hopefully they pop and clear up soon!

Now time to go stare into the incubator and wait for babies....I may start to peep soon.

Wow, Congrats to all the new GFM's,

So to pass the time I decided to wash the walls and ceiling in the front stairway, when I got done I had a pip! Spring cleaning causes hatching. A watched pot never boils and a watched egg won't pip.

I have a pip!!!!!!! I hear chirping!!!!!!!!!!

Have I mentioned how excited I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
