Does anyone have any buff orpington chicks for sale??? have ordered some from Soldans - but who knows how long that will take! If I can get some from a chicken lover locally, I'd love that - BTW, do you all worm your hens and if so w/what? Our gals are about a yr old and we've not wormed them....

Chickflick, Knowing both myself and my daughter, I can see it happening! It's my husband that may 'keep things in check'. He'll DEFINITELY not enable this habit. Now, if someone's looking for a husband, I'd be happy to trade for a few chickens!

My hubby didn't say much either way, but he's building a 2nd coop now that will house my bantams! There are alot of spouses that didn't want chickens, but now have been pulled to the other side!

It won't be long before he's buying chicks and hanging out with them. No one is safe!

The pullet weighed out at 3 1/2 and the cockerel at 5

They were only 5 weeks.... so we're happy with those results

Decided to stay in today and leave the ducks in with the chickens for another night... I hear they're talking inches of snow and ice

So I imagine they'll be happier in the big coop with all the pullets to snuggle with.

Looks like everyone is having fun today

oh, and not only did that chick do well overnight and was up and running around this morning... but the last egg that I thought was maybe a goner had hatched!
